But there's enough to make loads - so in the long run i'm sure you can semi justify the spend. Haha
I have just knocked up 22 a5 inserts for the Doris. I can't believe how productive I've been.
I've made a tiny dent in my stash. I need to crack on and tidy and sort now. As well as knock up more inserts.
I will have to manage to get stuff finished. Haha
Hope you're all enjoying your Christmas crafts. Xxxxxx

Hi GT can you let me know which die you used for the snowflakes please as these are amazing. I love the way the snowflakes are raised.0 -
The cards have all been lovely.
I have bought more elastic. And will focus on knocking up some black doris tonight and tomorrow. will use one whole hide - I have some really stiff black leather that was never suitable to be sewn but will be perfect for this. I reckon I can get plenty of Doris from one hide. And I think I have either 2 or three of them.
My aim for Thursday / Friday is cut one whole hide up. And home them as I go for the Dori covers. I'm going to make myself one from this that is a little larger to hide my spiral bound diary that I have. I feel is like a treat - something I can keep.
I also need to focus on lined Squared and plain inserts for them.
1. So cut one whole hide - I reckon 10 covers.
2. Grid a5 inserts.
3. Plain a5 inserts.
4. Lined a5 inserts.
5. Make a Dori cover for me. With inserts for me.
6. Cut earring cards galore. Using sissix.

Well I'm doing badly. Had planned to have this done by now. What I've actually managed is to cut three covers and my finger with the rotary cutter. Spent 3.5 hours in a&e and had it glued. I then managed to spend £6.50 on bandages to get through the day at work as it had popped open. Meh. Not happy and very skint. Haha

Apparantly aiited rather than edited on my phone. Sorry. Blaming the eye surgery. Haha

Thanks I will have a hunt for them as they are so pretty. I am starting on next years cards this Christmas hoping to get ahead and do all the cards I send next year.:D0 -
I made a bunch of cards similar to the original lot, but smaller and omitted the "let it snow" part. I found silver snowflake sequins and added these.
Here's another dose of Christmas cards - variations on my snowflake theme. Just one die cut on each, plus I found the little gold snowflake embellishments - there are silver ones too, of course - in my Christmas stash. (I forgot I had Christmas stash! Oops! It was lurking in the back of the cupboard.)2015-12-18 21.59.42 by Bobbie Doctor, on Flickr
I've still 5 or 6 "special" Christmas cards to make, but these will stick with the snowflake theme - apart from those for the grandweans probably.
I've given up trying to work out how much stash I've busted, lol. However much it is, it's not making a dent!Sewing 88/COLOR]Woollies 19Card s 91Reading 37/400 -
Well done everyone! :T
25 Christmas cards made in total, so plenty of card blanks, paper, Aida fabric, ribbons and embroidery silks used. I'm also trying to use up those tricky odds and ends of Christmas paper and tags in my wrapping this year. It's not really the end of the world if all my presents don't match, is it?:rotfl:It wasn't until I started going through the drawer I keep for cards, paper and tags that I realised how many odd bits I have. So I'm going to challenge myself for the coming year to reduce that stash as well as my craft materials.3-6 month EF Challenge Member #19: £3590/£6000.[/B] Craft destash from 22.5.22: 46/200.
