    Hi all,

Loving all the makes and sorry I've been AWOL for a while :)

I can report that I am still on my de-stashing mission and can declare a further 16 items de-stashed since my last update. I've got rid of 5 boxes of chipboard shapes I bought ages ago from a certain craft shopping channel (I don't know what I was thinking when I bought them - they were hideous!) and 11 Debbi Moore Clipart CD's which I had never ever used so decided it was time to go.

I also have an order from my son's school for some bits for Father's Day so will be adding to my made total very soon as well.

Finally I am pleased to say that I have not bought any craft bits for what seems like ages now (actually since the beginning of April and even then it was only a couple of £'s worth).

Happy stash busting everyone and well done on all your makes :)

craftingmad, you always have so many great ideas. Your son's school is very lucky,

How is your husband getting on?

Here's my latest stashbuster - it's a quilted cushion cover I made for a friend. I had the fabric for the back (also used for the front square and a border section), the wadding, the lining and the thread already and the cord for the tails came from a paper carrier bag from some shop or other. However, I confess I did buy the William Morris fabric! My friend loves his strawberry thief pattern, so I fussy cut the cats from that fabric. I think the fatter cat looks a bit like an owl, however!

    I'm counting 4 towards my total. :)

I'm looking forward to seeing more makes from everyone.

    Hi all,

I'm back again. Sorry for deserting you all for so long but things have just seemed to be hectic in the craftingmad house at the moment :)

Greentiget -my hubby is getting on ok thanks. Luckily the money side of things is better than we first thought so not struggling too much each month. The bad news is that the company which made him redundant (and was close by to our house) will not be hiring him again so it looks like the commuting to and from Aberdeen and only seeing each other for a few days each month is set to stay. On the plus side he loves his new job so at least that's something :)

I've just received a letter that my Create & Craft club is due for renewal but I have just cancelled it via email as I don't intend to be buying from them anytime soon. That saves me £10 and hopefully will stop the temptation to spend on craft bits :)

I have finally completed my son's father's day fair items so can declare towards my total:-

    20 x Coasters
    40 x Rosettes
    30 x Notepads

Plus I've made two birthday cards so can declare a further 92 items towards my total :)

Keep up the great work stash busters. I still feel proud every time I check the thread and read all your posts. :)

More cards. I needed a retirement and a congratulations card, so here they are - with my usual extra one, which finished off the topper sheet. I also used up some sticky back ribbon that I found lurking in the depths of the cupboard.

The Tilda toppers came as a pack of 4 sheets, reduced to £1 ages and ages ago and I'd never been able to decide what to do with them. I decided I had to use them somehow and after much head scratching i decided on this sort of French window theme, putting the main topper inside and some wee bits "in the garden". I must have used up oodles of sheets of card getting the die cut right. I tried masking tape and that took surface off the card, I tried a magnetic sheet and it still moved. Eventually I manage with lots of teeny weeny bits of masking tape. Phew! I still have 3 topper sheets left! I'm counting 9 towards my total - 3 cards & envelopes, sticky ribbon, 1 topper sheet and wasted card.

    Hi all,

Love the cards greentiger. I actually think I have the exact same topper sheets in my stash somewhere :) Hopefully I will come across them soon and put them to good use :)

I am declaring 6 more items towards my totals. I have made up some craft kits to sell at my first craft fair for what seems like ages next Saturday. I've made 3x general papercrafting card kits which include 3 8x8 papers, two sticker sheets, lots of offcuts of paper and cardstock, ribbon, fabric embellishments, bead strings, die cuts and other general embellishments and then I have also made up 3 button ring kits which each include 5 ring blanks, 15 buttons and a small tube of superglue.
Each kit is packaged in a cello display bag and the button ring kits also have a cardboard header so all in all I have managed to use quite a bit of stash which has just been lying around in the house for an absoloute age :)

Got to make 4 Father's Day cards today as well (I know I'm running a little late!). The kids will make two of them for their dad :)

Oh and I am finally feeling cured of my crafting stash addiction. I received an email stating that Docrafts were having an online sale. Now I have always loved this company so logged on to take a look. Although there were some beautiful things on offer I got up to page 8 of 32 and logged back off. Nothing was tempting me to purchase :)

I think I may be able to state My names Emma and I'm a recovering craft stashoholic :)

Happy stash busting everyone. Keep up the good work :)
