  • Yes we still need to pay BT for line rental but can drop the option 3 package we have with them so in effect its £19.99 p/month to Sky and whatever BT will charge for line rental

Together Option 1 is £10.50 per month when paying by DD.

Hi everyone, my Sister's been having a lot of trouble with BT, as she keeps getting stalked online. I have installed a firewall/anti-malware/anti-virus software package onto her PC, but with no luck.

She's getting fed up with BT not helping with the stalking and would like to swop to Sky broadband. Are they any good? What's the service like? And how about the security side of things as well?

    Many thanks in advance :)
  • how exactly is she being stalked? changing ISPs won't help if its email or instant messages

I was gonna say, the basic security side is more down to the user of the service rather than the ISP.

She is getting stalked via e-mail and IM (as in everything she sends is being intercepted) The main problem is that she's asked to have her IP changed, and BT have refused. I'm wondering if I should get her to connect to these services using a proxy server. Even her router has a hardware firewall, and it's still happening.......

BT uses dynamic IP's so switching the router off for a while will get you a new one. Does she use wireless ?

If she's getting stalked via email & IM then changing IP address' won't do much
