  • I've just had to replace my dressing gown because my old one gave up the ghost a few weeks ago. As I was about to add the £17 to my total I realised this isn't the sort of spending I need to control (my old dressing gown was years old) but adding it to my total made me feel unmotivated. So I've made a decision to lower my target but not to include replacing underwear/sleepwear. My new target is now £120.00.

I got through January with no spends, I was planning a trip on Thursday that would have derailed this but the Fates decreed otherwise, sheet ice in most places and not wise to walk around if you didn't have to. So I didn't.
Not sure when this trip will take place now, but hopefully it won't involve big spends.

£12 spent yesterday on new socks and a snood/buff thingy to replace one which had lost its elasticity. Much preferred option to a scarf.
Spend less now, work less later.

£11.50 spent this weekend for a dress for my birthday. Oh but it is so pretty, and I never let myself buy pretty dresses. It's something I can wear out to dinner on Valentines day :) And £11.50 reduced from £45!

Hope everyone had a good weekend and didn't spend too much!
Still on £67/£600 for my first month......which is a little bit over but I have sold a lot on this month and made £90.
I have decided that anything I make will go towards the end of the year for money for Christmas.

My month is slightly different to everyone else as I get paid 4 weekly and not monthly.

So I have 2 weeks left before pay day so hopefully wont buy anything else.

ps had a fab birthday and ended up with several yankee candles, wine and money :-)

Finally debt free and loving it!
  • Another 2 purchases of shoes for the small one...she has gone up 2 sizes though...1 pair of glittery grey leather boots from Clarks at £16, and a pair of patent leather shoes for nursery as 'all her friends have school shoes'...There was me thinking the pressure to conform started later than 3 and a half! Only £5.50 though so can't complain

Well done to all no spenders for Jan, I'm one too that didn't spend on clothes.

Well done to everyone who is keeping an eye on what they are spending, that works a treat too.

Here we are on month 2, bring it on and c'mon, we can do it!
