Morning all. I shall be spending on clothing today as I'm going into York. I have plans to buy more socks, hosiery, and having still not found the perfect pair of jeans in over a year, I'm going for a change of style and will take a look at leggings/shorter dress combos.Spend less now, work less later.0

I so need this! Setting myself a target of £100 for the rest of the year, and also a target of getting rid of at least 5 items of clothing every month (although this May have to be averaged out if I go on a bit of a cull every few months).PAD: £4843.10 (loan paid, yay!)
One debt vs 100 days: £288.73 / £750
£20 a day: March £838.97 / £620 April £224.53 / £600

The first spend for me today on a jacket for work and possible interviews reduced to £9.99 from £35 in a lovely dark plum colour, will do well as an extra comfy layer as it is unlined, a bit smarter than a cadigan but feels like one!
I'm away now for a few days and will update at some point next week or weekend.

I am currently reading about capsule wardrobes, this would be my ideal.
I am going to post a few things on my local FB page and see how itbgoes.
I am off to a Swish next week and have found 10 items to take.
I spent £1.50 on a shawl yesterday, I feel like a clothing junkie!
Well done to everyone sticking to their budgets/selling.
Keep up the good work

Do you tend to buy lots of handbags? Do you actually need a new one? Have you "shopped" your current handbag collection? I.e re-discovered a previously neglected bag.
I haven't bought a bag since 2005, it was a hobo bag which cost £65 and I used it every day till it finally got thrown out at the end of Dec 2014. It looked like it had had almost ten years of continuous use too!
So I do need one. I actually don't like having more than one bag, because I am too busy generally to even think about having to transfer contents from one to another. So since 2005 I have just had one and I found it keeps life simple. For now I am managing with an old tote shopper thing. But I don't mind because I know I'll find my next 'forever' bag soon!“All shall be well, and all shall be well and all manner of thing shall be well.”0 -
Morning all. Another £12 spent on more socks yesterday but I have enough now. A disappointing shop with regard to buying leggings etc but I was with DH so always feel limited looking round too many shops with him in case he gets bored, so I think I need a girly day out with DD.
With regards to handbags, I have lots all in different colours and all on display in my bedroom. Each contains all the basics I need to carry, tissues, emery board blah blah blah, so the only thing I need to transfer over is my purse. I have three of those, but that's another story!Spend less now, work less later.0 -
No spends for me so far this month. I think I'm going to save up for another pair of jeans next month. I wear them so often I think I can spend a bit more on them. I'm considering a departure from skinnies but not sure if a different style will suit. Suspect there will be a bit of trying on required.MFW 2024 £27500/7500 Mortgage £129,500 Jan 22 Final payment June 38 Now £68489.08 FP May 36 Emergency Fund £20,000 100% Added to ISA 24 £8,060 Save 12k in 24 #31 £20,034.76/20,000 Debt Free 31.07.140

I know what you mean about shopping with your OH - I never really feel that I can happily mooch (or spend quite as long as I'd like in Primarni :rotfl:)FlacosFloozie wrote: »No spends for me so far this month. i keep wondering if I need new jeans, I actually have 5 pairs from the same brand, 2 of them are super skinny and 3 skinny (although one doesn't get worn that much as they are 'fashionably' ripped - actually I should wear them more with tights under). I got them all on various visits to the US, but they do have a 70% off sale atm...and I wear them every week.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16
