The Completely Crazy 2015 Clothes Challenge

I'm finding this incredibly easy at the moment, and have put it down to 2 things...
Firstly I'm not going into shops that sell clothes by choice, and if I have to (such as larger supermarkets) I blinker myself as I pass that section. Fortunately some of the local ones have a lay out that means I don't have to even see the clothing section to get to (or while passing through) the groceries bit
And secondly, every spare (or not so spare) penny is going on reparing household applicances !! 12 days ago my combi oven blew up when DS1 when to micro heat some soup - still waiting to hear what the problem is with that, but most likely culprit is the magnatron which is still under a parts only warrantly. Then I decided to get my tumble dryer looked at as it's taking at least twice as long to dry things as it should - service, clean out and replacement element cost me £45 there, which I'm seeing as an investment in reducing my electricity bill now it shouldn't need to run for as long (and was less than half the price of a brand new seconds one too). Then my washing machine decided to spring a leak, so that's currently out for service and repair which I've been quoted £50 for (against around £250 for the closest like-for-like replacement I found on a quick trawl).
Now I just need to concentrate on losing some weight, as none of my 'really nice' clothes fit at the moment - and OH's nephew is getting married at the end of August. So it's a case of lose weight before then, or buy something new which won't get worn again as I do need to lose the weight for medical reasons !1Cheryl0 -

It was somerandomI normally go bra shopping about once a year and stock up on about 6 bras after getting fitted and spend roughly £180  in Bravissimo. But this year I don't think I have changed size as trying not to put on any weight :rotfl:So bras always handwashed and looked after. So will save the trip I hope
Hope so as that would be a massive chunk of my budget gone.
One thing I will buy if my size and make I know will fit as I find it can be a bit hit and miss depending on what make you buy.
So happy with this challenge as for once I really feel in control of my spending

Gem-gem well done for getting rid of temptation
cw18 sorry to hear of your stuff that needs repairing - it does seem that a few things go at the same time. Good luck with getting to the weight you happy are with.
Another bag of clothes gone - at this rate I could be wearing my birthday suit for springAt least what is left fits and I know I can just go and put something on. The plus side is that it's really making me get more focused on what I buy in future.

One of my everyday bras is currently a £2 tshirt one from Primarnithen again, it's comfy, I seem to be a relativity standard size in the style I like now and the expensive one I bought in Canada after being properly fitted, spending ages in the shop choosing etc etc ...actually isn't that comfy after a while :mad:it's non-wired which I don't normally buy and one bottom edge seems to curl under as the day goes on.

I sadly cant find any to fit me in places like PrimarniMine start at about £26 each  I am a 32 ff/g Think Katie Price before the last surgery
So need a really good bra that fits me perfectly as I don't like Black eyes if I can help it
But there must be a lot of ladies around who are are the same size as me as I have picked up a few in charity shops (new) for just a few £s.Which I could never do a few years ago.
Hope this explains why I have to pay so much

Not much chance of a black eye here unless I manage to bend my neck REALLY far :rotfl: well done on the charity shop bargains though, perhaps Katie P was having a clear outFeb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

No chance of a black eye here either. I've taken to wearing those non-wired stretchy bras, sometimes with padding in. Its more to make sure I don't chafe on my clothing rather than having to support anything.
Still no further clothes spends to report. I won't be going clothes shopping with DD this weekend either as her BF has whisked her away for a surprise weekend trip for Valentines.Spend less now, work less later.0 -

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Doubt it was Katie P.Think you will find she flogs all her cast offs on Eb*y under the name Katie's Closet !!!!Guess she needs the cash
Anyway I reckon she wears her own brand bras which by the way are not worth £1.95 in my opinion

I've been sorting through my stuff and saw that my favourite boots & fit flops had both died :-(. I managed to get the exact same boots for half price and the replacement fit flops were £15.00 off. Between the two of them they are basically what I will wear on my feet for most of the year but it's a huge dent to my budget - in fact I've got less than £30 for the rest of the year and it's only 6 weeks in  I wasn't expecting to have to replace footwear when I set such a low budget but when i think about it - I didn't HAVE to replace them - I could have made do with the other footwear I have. Oh well - I've made my choice - let's see how far I get with the remaining budget...Shifting my energy for 20200
