The Completely Crazy 2015 Clothes Challenge

Dear Someramdon,
Well done for keeping the weight off. I lost loads of weight several years ago but it soon crept back on ( two operations didn't help). I've bought one or two items of clothes from cs but I often find the clothes more suitable for the older person. I am always so envious when I hear that people have had some good finds. There are lots of other things that I have bought second hand but find clothes buying very difficult. My mum and her partner find good bargains in them all of the time.

Hi I think I will join if I can please? :j
..can I say £480 a year !!! As I need to look very smart for work and can run down a pair of heels just by looking at them ..I hope that isn't an OTT budget??
£40 a month would be good for me to be honest and I have a weakness for good quality handbags.:o
I am switching to primarni and CS shopping for clothes ..:TLuckily I'm currently a skinny minnie so should be alright in CS shops ...there are zillions round here and some even have a 99p rail.
I may even attempt the 33 item capsule wardrobe ..however with my vintagesque look not sure how realistic that is...:(
Here's to Slippers and Fluffy PJS Two of my most favourite things ..;)
Maybe I will post some of my CS finds on here if appropriate?

Somerandom, well done with your weight. As a hypnotherapist I can say that it works really well for weight reduction. Many of the issues we all have around food are emotional, and often subconscious which is why willpower alone doesn't always work.
moneyonmymindsam welcome to the thread. I'd be interested to hear how you get on with the capsule wardrobe idea.Crazy clothes challenge 2017 - 30/3000 -

Rowan - oh wow - you're a hypnotherapist - that's great! I can't recommend hypnotherapy highly enough to be honest. It worked so well for me - really changed my relationship with food which is how I've managed to keep the weight off so easily.Shifting my energy for 20200 -
Hello
I have been sorting out my wardrobe today. I have gone down from well over 100 items to around 30. I think that's still to many so I have hung all the hangers backwards on the rail and when I wear them I will hang them forward . Any item which are still hung backwards at the end of March will go as I obviously don't need them
I bought a pair of black jeans for £10 and I need a couple of vests, but I don't think I will be spending much more in the coming months:ad
I will update my sig with the £10 spent when on the laptop.

I'd welcome some CS finds and some style ideas moneyonmy mind.
Never thought of keeping weight off with hypnotherapy. I went low carb first of September and have lost and kept off a couple of stone.

Hi Everyone and welcome to the newbies starting this challenge good to have you with us.
I have been really restrained with myself and have picked up loads of absolute bargains in charity shops and have thought long and hard about each one and returned them to the rail  Including the beautiful White Stuff skirt for £2.95 and the new M&S suede fitted knee length coat :eek:for £4  Loved both of them but told myself I do have skirts similar and the coat would have come home with me but it was a tad too big which was a real shame as would have purchased it no worries :rotfl:
I am also a fan of hypnotherapy and would recommend it to anyone.I had it about 3 years ago for a lot of issues I had and I did feel it helped me no end. My DH even went as far to say it was the best money we had ever spent
I also have a love hate relationship with food and I know it will always be a problem to me and I do have to really work at my weight. But I am 7 stone lighter than I was 6 years ago and have kept it off but do tend to yo yo within about 7lbsI wish I could be a grey person with regards to weight but know I will always be Black and White if you get my meaning
Thats very much my personality all or nothing ! I suppose I could put it that way. Anyway the nothing part is coming out on this challenge and Nil spent this month(So far)
I have also started sorting wardrobes out and so far have a very full bin bag to go :T And I have only took one thing out of the bag to go back on a hanger so far :rotfl:Which is a miracleWill carry on sorting and TBH I am feeling much better knowing I am not adding to the very small empty space that I have made

Then I carried on losing and ended up having to buy a complete new wardrobe, luckily I sourced most things through Charity Shops. Two years on I've kept the weight off but only now have slowed down on the CS buying thanks to this thread.Nothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task

Morning all, not posted for a couple of weeks. I got distracted and fell off the wagon. I had a bit of a splurge buying a couple of interview outfits, 1 of which will need to go back. Not totted up my spends yet, but will do later today. Needless to say, the capsule wardrobe idea went out the window.
As Feb was a bit of a wash out, I have decided to give up clothes buying for Lent.
If I lost a few inches, I would have a brand new wardrobe available to me. My clothes have started to look ridiculous on me. Interested in hearing about people's experiences of hypnotherapy.
Inspired by hearing of all of your successes of sticking to your budgets, resisting buying stuff and helping each other attain goals.
Have a great day y'all
