The Completely Crazy 2015 Clothes Challenge

My spends for Feb was £24 on essentials. I think I may need to have a browse on line as I don't get out much, but worry about the hassle of things going back if they don't fit.
I have 4 outdoor coats, a thick quilted one for dog walking at this time of year, a lighter jacket (but good for going up mountains apparently) for the slightly warmer days, and a really smart coat and a cream(!) raincoat.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Morning
My capsule wardrobe has worked this week. Although I did wear one of the pairs of trousers twice, other than that it was really easy.
I still haven't got around to getting the vests so I need to do that today. They won't be expensive though so I will update my total later.

:rotfl:This is me just got 4 coats out and in the bags but still have 19 coats and winter type jackets  left in the wardrobe. It is just shocking when you think about it. Who on earth needs so many coats
Oh I nearly forgot moneyonmymindsam and I do :rotfl::rotfl:
Well done on your sales

I don't have that many but I do have a few, incl a warm down filled one, a causal parka, a smarter winter jacket, leather jacket, long winter coat, short Mac (which annoys me as the belt slips out if it's not done up, really need to get it stitched to the belt loops), gardneing coat (old worn out coat), a couple of lighter summer jackets and a denim jacket.
I have one coat to sell whicho do like but just collects fluff every time it's worn. The rest I tend to wear if only occasionally (denim with maxi dresses in the summer, longer formal coat to errr, funerals, Etc).
My down jacket and parka are both from fat face sale about 4 years ago, wasn't going to keep both but OH persuaded me. The down filled jacket has been a godsend in cold weather and the parka is my everyday staple.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Budget still intact. That's two whole months.
Must sort out my wardrobe this week, daunting task but it must be done.“All shall be well, and all shall be well and all manner of thing shall be well.”0 -
KerryG, what a good tip about sewing the belt to the loops, I just wound mine round, agree its annoying.
I consider I have quite a capsule wardrobe, but counted yesterday and have about 50 items so I guess not.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Declaring a no spend February
I think March is going to see the arrival of a new pair of jeans and/or going out shoes as most of mine have died.

Well done to those who haven't spent and those who have grabbed a bargain.
My Ebay stuff is selling and I've made about £135 so far.
I went to town today but managed to not buy clothes
although there were a few things I would have bought before I joined this challenge. I really stopped to ask myself if I need it, if I love it, if I have something similar already and what would it go with.
So decided not to buy anything else until I get all my spring/summer clothes out and sort them.
On the capsule wardrobe thing, I'm not so worried about numbers, just want things to work together and all get worn really.Crazy clothes challenge 2017 - 30/3000 -

Wow you are putting me to shameYou are doing so well reducing everything good on you !
Good idea Kerry on the belt issue I am sure most of us have had this problem with a particular item.
I read all your posts and find them really inspiring. So thank you all
I feel so much better I am not spending on stuff I will never wear and have just managed to put £400 away in a savings account for the weekly saving challenge so am ahead of where I need to be alreadyDown to not spending on carp that I dont need.
I will try and continue saving about £50 week as I am sure I was spending about that on clothes before I joined this challenge.
Going to put some things on FB today bit fed up of the hoops you have to jump though for The Bay so am having a rest from there for a bit
Have a good no spend (unless you really really need it) week everyone
