Need to update as I've been a bit disorganised of late!

I decided to keep the gym pants I'd bought, and since then have got another couple of bits - a sweater, a lovely blue top and a cute brown cardigan - a total of 64.96. I also got a gorgeous purple handbag but it's doesn't come out of the budget as I used a gift voucher for it.

I got another few things too, but I'll need to find/check my receipt for them cos I can't remember what I paid! So at the moment my budget stands at 916.05 remaining.

I'm a bit late but can I join in this year again?

Last year, most of my clothes were packed up ready to move house. box 1 contained clothes I need to lose a bit of weight to wear, box 2 contained clothes I need to lose a LOT of weight to wear. Boxes 3-5 contained clothes my 5yo daughter had outgrown ready for my 3yo daughter to grow into. Boxes 6&7 contained clothes that were wearable when I boxed them up but were too big for me. Box 8 contained clothes I can wear (as did the four suitcases I brought with me). Also found boxes of clothes that I'd put away years ago and never opened. Feels like I have a new wardrobe already:D.

As I'm still doing SW, and slimming into clothes, at some point I'm going to need to buy some new ones, but hopefully it will be next year before I need to buy any. Certainly I have a couple of summer coats I can wear but I might need a new winter coat.

My budget for 2015 (£390 minimum to £500 maximum):
    Me (underwear and essentials): £60
Husband (underwear and essentials): £60 (poss plus £50 on shoes)
    DD1 (school uniform & shoes): £100
    DD2 (School uniform & Shoes): £100
    DD1 (non-school & holiday clothes, coat and underwear): £70

spent so far: £7 (on socks and tights):o

  • All everyone!
I haven't gone missing - just been away and really busy with work.
My budget took a bit of a battering just before I went away as I spent £83 on last mins bit and pieces but has I didn't wear what I picked up I did take £35 worth of items back so I have just about broke even!
Hope everyone is ok and still on track?

P.s thanks to this challenge I have reduced one of my overdrafts by £150 :-)

    Hi all

A quick update- I bought another pair of pj's £15.

    Total spent in Feb £30

Nothing spent in March so far. Hoping to keep it that way.

I'm avoiding charity shops as that became a bit of an addiction in itself icon9.gif and the ones near me are getting very poor stuff in at the moment.
I've decided to wait until Easter to buy anything else.
I need a few more summery bits, I have plenty to last me until then.

This year I'm on a mission to spend any spare money on lovely days out instead of buying stuff.

And we have just paid off a huge chunk of our mortgage, so feeling super sensible and financially aware :rotfl:

I very nearly buckled whilst out shopping [strike]today[/strike] yesterday

I was on a retail park, when I spotted one of the stores had posters in the window about Red N0se Day T-shirts exclusive to them, and I just had to nip in for a look. There were 3 designs I quite liked, but the pic on one made it look more suitable for a bloke so I quickly lost interest in that one. I hummed and hah'd about the other two for quite a while, but finally my heart agreed with my head that I couldn't justify £9.99 (one I liked best of the remaining two, but glitzy patches that would probably wash off) or £14.99 for a T-shirt - and I left empty handed.

(I've already bought a pin badge, and if I happen to be around somewhere collecting for the event on Friday I'll drop some coins in)
