Forgot to mention that my spends also included a new pair of slippers. Again, essential, I was in danger of falling down the stairs in my old pair.

No more spends but I'm here to report that I'm not sure the leggings look is for me. Love the longer length tops but think I may need to wear them over 'normal' trousers or jeans. Will keep experimenting.

  • Right, I am heading off to the shops today. I have a list and a budget. I WILL stick to both, I will not be tempted into splurging on things I don't need... honest :)

Well done on the considered purchases :T With leggings I think if you are not used to wearing them you can feel a little exposed :) If you know what I mean. I think long tops and jeans look good. So keep experimenting at least leggings are comfy for in the house to slob about it :D I love leggings (but I do have chicken legs as my son always says ) So I always wear them with long boots and that works for me.

I have NOT dipped in to my budget for a while and feeling really good about it. Have a bit of extra money saved with not spending so will bank what I have over next week :)

    Good luck to everyone

Well done Mav on not spending at the moment. I am keeping the leggings to wear under 'over trousers' for dog walking. I will say they are comfortable but you're right, I do feel exposed - rather large lower leg area!

What about jegging as a middle ground? Comfy fit of leggings without feeling quite so exposed?

Just popping in to say I've managed to avoid spending on clothes since last post - I also appear to be able to go into charity shops without buying and have, of late, even walked past charity shops :-O !!! Literally didn't think it was possible....

I've also been making an effort to wear a variety of clothes. I was wearing the same old same old over & over & there were lots of nice clothes just hanging there in my wardrobe - I've enjoyed it and it's given me the feeling of having new clothes... :-)
