Spending for today:
Food for the kids at swimming classes - £3.50
That's it
Running total: £85.26
Also submitted £417.23 expense claim. About half of that is for things still loitering on the 'cashflow' credit card. The rest is milage and cash purchases so will be money back in the bank _party_0 -
Total - £0 :j :j :j
Running total: £85.26
(Technically I did spend money, but I'm on a work trip so it's all expensable so I'm not counting it.)0 -
Confession time...
Spent £300 of savings on rugby world cup quarter final tickets.
In my defence they were mean to be a surprise present for my Dad, but he said he didn't want to go and it was too late to resell them
ATS is in Scotland for work, so it's going to me and DD making use of them. I do feel a bit sick each time I think about it, but I'm trying to remember that it's only money, fundamentally it was a good idea and DD will have an amazing time.- Mortgage over-payments to date: = £16,746
- Original redemption date: August 2043
- Current redemption date: July 2041
- Debt: £15,930
- Savings: £12,430

PBS - this is where I'm supposed to support MSE ways and tell you that it was naughty to get RWC QF tickets  alas I can't do it :rotfl:
I'm a massive rugby fan, even named my new puppy 'Biggar', and if the truth be told, I'm a little jealous.
I deliberated long and hard about buying tickets for the RWC matches but couldn't bring myself to part with my savings but now Wales has reached the QF's I think I probably would. _pale_ oh dear, did I just say that out loud
I will be suitably positioned in front of my TV and shouting, screaming and cheering until my voice gives out :T :T
Enjoy it, this will be a fantastic weekend of Rugby

Thanks DB,
It wasn't THAT match... It was NZ vs France. We had a lovely time, the atmosphere was great and we had good seats.
The result of THAT was heartbreaking, don't you think?- Mortgage over-payments to date: = £16,746

I'm not an emotional person at all, don't cry at all those movies like 'M@rley and m3' but I could have cried at the outcome of THAT match.
Watching the NZ game though - you had plenty of tries to witness :rotfl: :rotfl:
I was also devastated for Scotland this weekend too - harsh call by the ref :mad:I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Budgeting & Bank Accounts, Credit Cards, Credit File & Ratings and Energy boards. ATS and I had a REALLY good chat last night about money, budgeting and plans. We worked out our position to 13th of November (when ATS gets his 1st November pay) And as a result I am feeling a whole lot more positive.
We also played around with some pension calculators and worked exactly what we need to be saving towards retirement. Implementing this will be something we do in January, as a new years resolution.
The car passed the MOT today, total cost £85.
AND we won £10 on the People's Postcode Lottery! :rotfl:
But best news of all... my Dad's cancer hasn't spread! :T- Mortgage over-payments to date: = £16,746
