  • Oh! Completely forgot to report that yesterday I applied for the FirstDirect account that pays £150 for joining! I was accepted and so should be switching banks in the next few weeks. I intend to open the linked 6% regular saver and use it for future planned expenditure, like a holiday or a car.

    Train ticket - £7.80
Coffee and a biscuits and croissants and hot chocolates for the kids - £10.50

This latter was because swimming was cancelled and I needed to kill some time before taking them home as ATS was prepping the house for DD's birthday party.

Really proud a what a great job ATS made of DD's party. She loved it, all the kids had a great time. He really worked his socks off. I'll let him post the spends as I don't really know how much he forked out.

I paid for parking on Saturday night (see above, £10.50) and it hasn't shown up in my bank statement yet...Maybe they forgot?

    I *think* that's everything....

Got paid today - did the money hokey-cokey. £850 to savings, £600 for bills and budgeted outgoings. The rest swallowed up because I was already in my overdraft. Will do better on this next month.
