  • I have had the same letter and so am going to do the same. Had a result with Smile bank, they just paid me no hassle after one letter, got a a cheque for £659.81 and only request £500! So i certainly was smiling! So as Smile are part of the C0-operative bank, why should natwest get away with it. I reckon it's just there standard responce to hundreds of requests and we need to unit and send the final letter.

    Hi
I have just had the same letters from the natwest, is there a templete that I can use to sent to them now requesting my money back?
  • ditto for me...is there a template already going around to send off to thebank if and when we get this letter fogging us off about the OFT?
Or is this letter, ansd the reoccurance thereof, a new thing to happen?

I have had a letter from Natwest asking if I want to accept their offer or wait til after the test case - so it may be dependant on how long ago you sent your request - any sent near to the start of the case they may be trying to make wait and paying up those that were sent in earlier.

Either that or they want as many paid up and off their books just in case things go pear shaped for them and they end up having to pay more back that they reckoned would be fair in their eyes.

i sent a letter months ago to try and get my one charge of £38 back. i heard nothing so gave up as £38 wasnt worth going to court for. last week i recieve a letter out the blue and months later than when i contacted them saying they were making me an offer of £38 and if i would except.
  • hi i am in need of advice. i phoned the natwest recently and they said on the 24th of june an offer was generated and i should have it within 7-10 days but it never arrived i called again and was told to wait a little bit longer so i did. and to be honest i forgot about it for a few weeks and when i called on the 30th of july i was told i would be getting my offer at all now due to the test case. but the problem is i read somewhere that offers would still be ok to accept. so i am stuck any help would be appreciated
    thanks

i just got my second reminder letter through from natwest saying that had offered me but i hadn't replied.

therefore they are still honouring offers made before the ruling as the letter states.

you should have a letter with a reply slip on and ref number-you'll need the ref number to talk about your case, could say that back on the 24/06 you were offered an amount which was good for 60 days (should be the same agreement as mine) but due to holiday) or whatever you are only just getting round to replying... but now can't find the letter to return... but as you have 60 days you need a new letter so you can retrun it by the 23rd of June.

if you ring them and explain this they should send you out a new copy- you can sign it and get it back to them by the 23rd

You have to go the home page and use the template for the next step. This letter will give them 14 days before commencement of court ptoceedings.
