quite a few people are....if your claiming back as far as 6 yrs you may want to file a claim in court now or you risk being statute and barred.... also the 40 day reply period relates to you getting your statements back and not replies from the bank. As was suggested in the above post!
  • AAGGHHHH The court have ordered a STAY until the determination of the commercial court !!!! Gutted as was expecting them to have struck out the NatWest defence sad.gifsad.gifsad.gif

  • I got a letter from them yesterday that was really long explaining that all claims were now on hold due to the court case thing, and they can't do anything until after it has all finished.

Just a quick question regarding payment. What should be the resulting action, if the bank charges are not refunded, from an out of court settlement which was witnessed and signed off by the judge?

ring them and ask where the rest is, there meant to send you up to 6 years of statements

NatWest send out the statements in batches and have 40 days to do this so the rest will come out shortly.
  • I want to reclaim Natwest credit card charges. I don't care if they close the credit card down because I have paid off the balance, but would be stuck if they closed down my Natwest current account as I have a student overdraft. Do the two departments talk to one another/do this, as it affects whether I want to submit a claim or not? Anyone got any experience....?

    Thanks,

    Jess
  • I am at the stage now that i have just ended my 6-8 week stage of the bank looking at my statements and i have revieved a reply from the natwest saying that the charges are lawful and transparent and basically they wont pay.
They go on about the OFT case etc.
What do i do now and what do i put in my reply letter to the natwest??
