Hi every1 im new here and have been reading the threads and have found them very useful.

i was told by natwest on monday that since signing my full and final offer before the 27th of july that the money would be paid into m,y account on the 9th of august(today). However when i contacted them this morning they used some excuse to try and fob me off and i am supposed to wait for a manager to call me back, however if a manager doesn't call me back in an hour i think i will take your advice and ring the chief exec office thankyou for all the great advice on this forum.
Will let you know how it goes fingers crossed x x x
    thanks once again

    Hi,

ive rang them before test case but not after,
Dont be nervous, just be straight and say that you are on benefits and the charge has come out of your benefits, the state gives you the bare minimum to live on and therefore you can not be without this sum.
Generally if you are sweet and not annoyed them too much they do pay back the odd thing, though they like to preach at you as they do.
Its a case of dont ask dont get.

good luck let us know how you get on

    Hi to everyone!

I am wanting some advice regarding my reclaim of bank charges from the Natwest.

I started my claim back in May and got a sent the relevant letters and the last letter I received said it would take up to 6 weeks for them to get back to me due to the nature of my claim - what ever that meant!

6 weeks passed so I rang them on Wednesday 25th July and I was told that an offer letter had been generated for the full amount of £1457 on Monday 23rd July and I would receive it within a week - all I had to do was sign the letter accepting and send it back.

Then to my horor heard the news Friday 27th July and waited almost an hour on the phone to speak top someone who advised me that as my offer letter had already been generated I would still be receiving my letter and my money and not to worry. They said to give it another week and I should have my letter.

Then thinking about things on the Monday I decided to ring again - nothing is ever straight forward for me so I just wanted to double check if the letter had actually been posted yet as it was generated on the previous Monday. Again I was reassured that I would be receiving my letter and the lady I spoke to said they had to add an extra letter to my original offer letter stating the revised terms and conditions and that was what was causing the delay. She said to give it two weeks and ring back if I hadnt received anything.

So I waited a week and something was telling me to ring again - I just had a funny feeling we werent gertting this letter - so another 45 minute wait on the phone and I get through to a not so nice lady who sounded like she was reading a script. She had told me that my claim was frozen and it wouldnt be sorted until they had sorted things with the High Courts. So I asked why had I been told that an offer letter had been generated 2 weeks previously and why the following phone calls had all been the same that I was still getting my offer letter and wopuld definately still be getting the money owed. I was then told that an offer letter had never been generated and that I shouldnt have been told that one had and certainly shouldnt have been told I would still be getting my money inthe other phone calls. I asked to speak to a manager but she wouldnt let me and just kept giving me the same speech and said that talking to a manager wouldnt help as they would say the same thing. So I admitted defeat put the phone down and got very upset!! How can a letter have suddenly disappeared off their system!! It had been generated before the 27th July so I should have still received it!! Im just at a loss as to what to do next. Would I have a leg to stand on if I got legal advice or would I be wasting more money there as I had done on the lengthy phone calls!!

Can anyone give me any advice please!! Im not sure what to do next!!

    Trudy

Have you got anywhere with this yet. I am in exactly the same boat apart from the fact that I have an email from CRU dated 26th June stating that my offer has been prepared etc etc.

Some of the Natwest staff are telling me that I will get an offer letter and say I won't. They have even asked for proof of the email as they didn't believe me when I said that I had it.

Let me know how you are getting on as I would imagine that I will get whatever response you get.

    rb2007,
    They are taking the p**s,

You got to kick as* to get this sorted ,
A few avenues to put pressure on,
    1) print of your email, send with cover letter to ceo and demand action within 5 working days.( recorded delivery)
    2) Ring ceo office again and demand they sort this as you are constantly being misled.
    3) oft route.

Id batter every avenue to make sure i get the result promised.

Dont give up, it will be worth it.

    many good wishes

  • Yesterday I received my revised claims letter! Which i am going to accept in full.
The wording in the letter seems to make out I wont get a penny till the test case is over (even though I’m accepting the offer) but I’ve heard otherwise. Can anyone advise? <O:p></O:p>
