I have been in touch with the number provided by Toniq and have been advised that I will receive my offer letter within 2 days. When I spoke to the CRU a few weeks ago they advised that if I had incurred any extra charges, since the claim, I could add them on to the acceptance letter and then send it back.

Is this still the case or could it stop me getting the offer paid if I do this when I receive the letter.

    Please advise

Guys. What the general outcome of things with Natwest now since the OFT test case?

I submitted my AQ on 30th July! Am I likely to get a court date or will I juts get a letter back saying nothing will happen until the case is over?

I have heard of some people opposing the stay that the judge is ordering! How are people doing this?

I accepted a settlement 2 weeks ago. Tried calling Natwest following the new court situation and waited 30 minutes on phone but ended up hanging up. (even though recorded message said it would be answered SHORTLY every 30secs or so!!). Part of the 1st recorded message said "if you have recently received a settlement offer, we need to send you another letter!!).
Surely this is just stalling my payment??? I accepted and sent 1st class on Weds 25th July!

    Any advice?

    Hi,

go to the natwest thread and go a few pages back i have left a post which explains what you can try to speed things up, If you accepted full and final they should not be revisiting your case so that is what you need to mention in your call, all numbers and details are on the mentioned thread.

    Good luck

oh and the 26th july thursday was the mail strike where nothing but signed for (registered ) mail got through so your letter probably didnt hit until fri , sat or even monday pending on backlog.

I would always advise yusing a service where you can track your item online so you have no mail issues.

    good luck

Sorry if this is in the wrong place - but when you e-mail natwest do you put your account number etc on the e-mail or is there a reference number to link to your claim - just about to e-mail them now & didn't want to post my acct details if I don't need to
  • I have taken Nat West to court for charges on 2 accounts. They made me an offer months ago. As I was not sure if it was for one account or the two (and they never replied my letter asking for clarification) I rejected the offer. With the case now gone to court, my court case has been stayed. I guess this may take a few years before we get a resolution with the loosers appealing the case.

Do you think they will accept a proposal to settle now? The court case has cost me £220 for each case. I guess If I settle I will loose that.

    Help what should I do?

They might, you can but try but as your case has been stayed was this done at the behest of NatWest? If so its unlikely they will negotiate now.
