what was the deadline you escaped toniq? well done i am realy pleased for you.
:rotfl: The so called deadline i avoided was the 27th.
As my offer was dated 2july and i sent it signed for delivery (only ones getting through post strike) on the 25th july they had it the day before this went public, and my point was that the website said because of events of the 27th july, so i never fell into that bracket.
I have now just took that money out of that acct and put it into my partners for our ivf, im so paranoid the natwest will pillage my account when im not looking!
Please use the numbers and names in my previous post to speed your claims up, thats obviously for people desperate for second letter.
Ive spent over 6grand on fertility treatment and that money i got back was make or break for me this month!
Thanks again everyone

I've had a defence from NatWest for my £1,900 claim. It's from Cobbetts and some advice would be appreciated.
I'm not sure how I should explain it to you as it's quite long and tedious, but it's basically six pages of stuff about what I didn't mention in the 1,000 words or whatever I was allowed on the website.
What's my next step, guys? Court? Do I need to send a letter to NatWest now?
EDIT
I didn't read the last section!
They want from me:
- account number and sort code
- dates, charge amounts etc
- why I shouldn't have been charged
- facts - identify the regulations under the Unfair Terms in Consumer Contract Regulations 1999 they have breaches
I'm so angry right now. Just when you think you're making progress this happens. I feel like either ringing the Chief Exec hotline or ringing Cobbetts themselves!0 -
Has anybody received a standard letter yet regarding -get lost-OFT-test case - all on hold.
I have had nothing yet regarding my claim and was wondering if this was taking them time to send out (doesn't usually when its them).
I presume we will all be dealt with now at their pace on their terms (as if it was ever any different lol). !!!!!!0 -

Hi.
I recieved a letter two weeks ago, offering all of my money back. (Granted, it was only £354, as I've only recently gotten charges.) I've signed the agreement, and sent it off. How soon do you think I can expect the money? Anna.

I'm thrilled to bits you got your money paid into your bank account!:j:j How dare Natwest try to wriggle out of refunding your charges. Enjoy the freedom and choices this money will give you,
take care,

wow these threads are an eye opener arn't they.
I have a small Natwest account that I have been trying to close as they seem to add a £28 charge every month because I have been as little as 52p overdrawn several months ago.
Each month since the charge is added to the account.
They won't close it as they have now added another £28 charges!!! Why for god sake.
I am an OAP and can't afford to pay these payments yet they won't close it until I fork out another £28 pound......where the hell do they think I am going to get it from my £58-70 state pension!!
Anyone any recomendations here please.
JB
Help please.......first I had to re-register tonight as I didn't know my password...doh...
I have had another letter from Natwest today ADDING YET ANOTHER £28 to my account AND still refusing to close tha account.
I have been crying about this for the last 2 hours and now really don't know what to do....they also tell me if I don't pay up my Monday 6th August another £28 will be added....
I recieved this email last week before I sent my letter asking them yet again to close the account....I have deleted my name for obvious reasonsThank your for your e-mail.Unfortunately, I am unable to close your account for you. Due to security reasons the Bank is unable to accept such instructions via an e-mail.To close your account you will need to either visit a branch in person or write to your own branch. At the same time you will need to return any cheque books and debit cards in your possession.I advise that you will need to pay in a further £28 being the charge debited on 29 June.Thank you.

Hi all,
I have already sent a claim for approx £700(including interest) to Natwest for charges. I used Martin's proforma letters, tables and calculations. Letter sent 29th May 07.
Natwest responded 8 June 07 saying they were considering claim and given the work in assessing claim they would be in a position to respond within 6-7 weeks, but will aim for sooner if able.
I believe they have stalled coming back with a firm response due to the test case and ruling on 27th July 07.
What do I do now? Send warning letter before action to small claims court, requesting full payment with timescale for settlement or do I play the waiting game?0
