Hi everyone, Im in the same boat as a couple of you above, I got my 6-7 week standard letter today. At what point would you people recommend starting to give them a bell and nudging them or should I just hold tight??

L recieved a letter the same from natwest telling me it would be 6-7 weeks. take no notice of it and stick to your own timescale of 14 days it will get the ball rolling quicker. Dont let them walk over you. Your in charge not them

Hi Angel, only problem for me is time, Im going backpacking in end of October and probably wont be coming back to England, so I need it sorting without Court otherwise I may get nothing. Lots of advice on here seems to be that NW will make a full/nearly full offer at the 6-7 weeks point??

Amount Reclaimed: £1724
Amount they paid: £1724
The story: Followed your instructions. Sent letter out with refernce to all the charges(took me about 3 hours to go through 6 years worth!). They sent letter back about a week letter saying I will have an answer in 6-7 weeks. On the 7th week i got a letter stating a "as a measure of goodwill" blah blah blah . So thanks a million. It was soooo easy!!:beer:0 -
Does anyone know the phone number for Nat West? I have written to them but have had no reply and thought before I send the Court papers I would telephone them to try and find out what the hold up is. Thanks0

Just sent off for my statements
RECLAIMING WHILST ON A DMP
I am in the process of finding out how much I have been charges on my two NatWest accounts (one current, and one student account)
These accounts have been suspended because of my payments on my DMP and both are heavily in the red.
I want to claim back my charges so my debt to NatWest can significantly be reduced and also claw back all the charges I recieved whilst starting my DMP.
Has anyone been successful reclaiming charges whilst on a DMP?
Will it make any difference that the account has been suspended?
Thanks0 -
Hi,
I have sent Natwest the 2nd letter giving them 14 days to reply and they sent me a letter back, within 14 days, saying that they would give me a decision on my claim in 6-8 weeks. what do i do now? are thet just stalling me, should i wait or write another letter? i have asked for £1300 ish including interest.
any help would be appreciated!!
PLUS.... does anyone have any ideas on how to find out my account details for a HSBC account i had 4 years ago and have absolutley NO details for?? i'm pretty sure i could claim loads back from them, the greedy wotsits.0 -

I spoke to Natwest last week, apparently they sent a letter last Friday to my address with an offer of the full charges amount £1309 minus the interest I tried to claim.
I have not received the letter and on ringing today was told that would not send another letter as all claim action has been suspended. Even if I do receive the letter and sign to say I agree with the amount they will not pay me now.
I cannot describe how angry I am, if I had received the letter at the beginning of the week I would have signed it and sent it back the same day and had the money by now.
So damn close to getting my money back.0 -
I have been sorting out my friend bank charges and we have sent out letter no2 asking for charges( approx 16K) plus interest (approx £21K in total!!). She rang them yesterday and was told it had been acknowledged on 23rd July and accepted yesterday and she should get a letter in the post in a few days.
What do they mean by "it has been accepted" will she just get the standard letter telling her to wait 6-8 weeks??
Also could someone explain to us how this latest turn of events will effect us if most of our charges are not unauthorised overdraft charges?
Any help would be useful
The claim is with the Natwest
