SAR is subject access request and is ALL data not some BS of statements for as far back as the bank retains data in a relevant filing system. That should be 1992. You are the data subject and under the Data Protection Act 1998 you can pay £10 for all data held by a company. If you are paying £10 and getting just statements then the bank is not complying with the terms of a Subject Access Request(and we are making more money---thank you guys because it means profit for RBS Group).
Statement requests, ie, i want 6 years worth should be £5 per request.
SAR is not statements but everyone seems to believe they are.0 -

I have spoken with the team at Boreham Wood and they have said to me that they have supplied there final offer. I am claiming £3726 and they have offered me £2,870. This was back in March and I have declined and sent 2 further letters since and followed up with phone calls but no joy.
They have now told me that this is there final offer.
Should I now proceed with the court action. Will I get the full amount? Many thanks.

Morning All,
Just asking some advice please reference my thread. I have looked through the threads, but the Natewest are really confusing me. I am thinking of MCOL but just a bit nervous given the banks attitude.0 -
is the difference between claim and what your asking interest? if not its worth taking it to the ombudsman as it costs the banks more and you can still go to court adter should that not work :-)

Morning,
Has anyone a number for Natwest which I can call to see the status of my claim? Got the usual 6-7 weeks letter from them and just want to gently push things on a little.
Thanks!
Morning Ghost. I haven't got the number to hand I'm afriad but can tell you what they'll say! I got exactly the same letter as you, sent to me on three separate occasions. I phoned them up and was told that they were looking into my case and the initial settlement figure was £2500 - exactly what I was asking for. I asked if I could just take it! They said no as it had to be passed onto be approved.
It now seems that they are taking the full 8 weeks to get through the paper work (one lady I spoke to said they were receiving 7000 letters a day regarding reclaiming charges)! By the sounds of it, they will make an offer at the end of the 8 weeks and then it's up to you whether you accept or not. From talking to someone else, you can also add on any additional charges that have been incurred in the mean time when you get your offer.
All in all it should take about 10 weeks from when you received you 6-7 weeks letter to get the money into the bank. That's what I'm hoping for anyway. I don't think things particularly change by calling them although it's always nice to know that they are still looking at your claim and nudge or kick them a little more!
Hope it all goes well. I was planning to get my money before I went on holiday but it looks like I should have it to come home to. Can't wait!!!!

Does anyone know how long roughly it takes to receive the money after being made an offer? I got an offer about 10 days ago and sent my acceptance letter the same day.
Will it be paid straight into my account or will i receive a cheque?
Cheers

i too have accepted a claim, i was told that it can take upto 14 days for the money to be paid, apparently if your account i still open they will pay the money into your account, if not they will send you a cheque.0

Thanks,
The difference is part interest - total interest is about £700 so its still £300 short of normal charges.
What is the procedure for the ombudsman? Is that before court then?
