Hi all after bit of help, i am at the court stage and waiting for the date to come through. Though i have had an offer a few weeks ago from the bank, they have offered me all my charges back less intrest which i am prepared to accept, but would like them to pay me the costs i have had to incurr to get to this stage. I have rang them and they said because they have dealt with my complaint within 8 weeks they are not willing to pay me the costs. Although in there first letter they never stated how long it would be before i heard from them. I have drafted out a letter asking them to reconsider my propsal to save any further time and money going to court. Am i just wasting my time with this letter and would it be better sent to cobberts rather than the bank or both. Any help would be much appreciated.

I am claiming for my Brother in Law and he has a natwest Advantage Gold Account.
I believe i can claim for referral charges but along with the normal charges.
I can see an Annual Gold subscription of £12. Can i claim for this or is this a subscription for having the account meaning i should advice him to get a new account.0 -
I have gone through all the proceedures outlined to retrieve my £2700.00p from Nat West Bank.
The only reply I ever had was receiving my statements.
Two letters via recorded delivery asking for the money and threatening court action fell on deaf ears.
I recently applied to the local court to resolve this matter.
today I have received a letter from a company named Cobbetts LLP stating they have been instructed on behalf of the defendant.
The enclosed acknowledgement of service shows the box ticked 'I intend the defend this claim'.
Is this just another scare tactic?
Will I have a fight on my hands?
And if so has anyone gone through this and can offer some sound advice.
Would really appreciate some help here.0 -

Hi. I sent off copies of my statements with a letter asking for them to repay all the default charges which came to £399 on June 28 and yesterday I recieved a letter from them which said that they "do not agree that the charges are unfair but as a goodwill gesture and without admission of liability or error" they will be sending me the full amount claimed. Result.Swagbucking since 24/7/14:
£400 - Marks & Spencer, £300 - Currys PC World, £50 - Amazon, £300 - Paypal.
£60 Mobile Expression Amazon Giftcards0 -
I have already got all my statements without asking for them, and am about towrite the first letter having just added all the charges up.
However can i ask for details of any manual intervention in this letter? Or will it have to be seperate?0
