    Hi everyone :)
I received a cheque today for £25 from an online survey site that I joined a couple of weeks ago. Fantastic way to earn a little extra. Was so nice to get something in the post rather than bills. Going straight into my emergency fund which is now at a grand total of £44.09 :j

Hope everyone is having a good mse weekend?

What a great start to the weekend! my only gift from the postman was my annual council tax statement! What sort of things were you surveying?

It's cold and horrid outside so I'm going to do a bit of batch cooking and plan next weeks meals. :)

    Hi *DramaQueen*,

Welcome to this very inspirational thread, Patman will be along soon to allocate you a number. Well done on putting funds in place ready, you are on your way already.

#45 checking in with the usual SO payment gone over so EF now standing at £270 - signature updated to reflect :D

Congrats to everyone else on the thread too, even if you have had to use some of the EF, if you hadn't been so committed when you didn't need it then it wouldn't have been there to use so you should all be extremely proud of your progress.

Keep up the good work everyone ;)

  • Afternoon Everyone :j

Had a few too many pennies in my current account which I was using as stock, but with the new tax year looming, I wanted to use up as much of my allowance as possible.

I transferred across a little extra this month so I'm now at £400.00 :D

I cant wait to his the big £1,000, which would double my current savings.

    Welcome *DramaQueen* you are #96.
I intend to start adding to my EF once I have a clear picture of what I am going to be left with at the end of each month. The hourly rate is not bad in my new job, but it is only 32 hours a week, so am in the process of claiming WTC otherwise I will be in the position of my outgoings being 99% of my income.

Many congratulations on being DEBT FREE:T:T:T
The ideal way to use an EF, IMO, because now you can concentrate on building up some funds to help cover whatever life throws at you without having to get into debt again:j

Not sure what the 'baby steps' that you mention are, sorry:o. is it something to do with Dave Ramsay? I expect someone more knowledgeable than me will be along soon to answer your question.

    Enjoy your debt free day:beer:
