Further depletion of funds. Necessary car repairs. Not sure what's left now, will work it out later.

  • Sorry I was too late to wish you 'all the best' for your first day in your new job, patman. I may have got the wrong end of the stick (I often do:o) and it wasn't this week that you were due to start, but I seem to recall that it was Wednesday.
  • Well, EF is now empty!

Having some work done to the house and its cost a little more than anticipated due to some rotting floor. But bought all the materials cash. Not a credit card in sight!

Paid today, will try and transfers a little bit into EF over the weekend to get me started again, but going on holiday next week!

Thanks CBC. It was indeed this week and I am enjoying it. As I type this, I am waiting in a phone queue to start claiming WTC as my income is only going to bet £12,400 per year (before deductions), so nowhere near a liveable wage.

  • Quick update, my Friday transfer went in today and I also received £10 off a relative as a late christmas pressie which was very kind so that's going in too, now up to £120 :)

On a separate note did anybody get to see the eclipse today? It was all cloud and gloom where I was so hopefully some of you had better luck

Stereochild clearing debts is a good reason for not adding to your EF. Debts usually incurr interest, so clearing them makes sense.
Then, once the debts are cleared, you have the option of adding to your EF without affecting your outgoings.

SVC I purchased some bottles of beer to celebrate it a couple of weeks back, but got struck down with noro virus, so never got to drink it.

    Hi everyone :)
I received a cheque today for £25 from an online survey site that I joined a couple of weeks ago. Fantastic way to earn a little extra. Was so nice to get something in the post rather than bills. Going straight into my emergency fund which is now at a grand total of £44.09 :j

Hope everyone is having a good mse weekend?
