Phones 4U collapses into administration

I was looking for a new iphone6 plus on Friday night and their deal was good. I almost got it but was running late so was going to get it this week. So pleased I didn't but they where advertising as late as Friday. So not sure how pre-planned it was and normally cutting off advertising would be the first thing to go.


So sorry for the staff no one wants to find themselves out of a job.

I love how they are currently using 0844 premium rate numbers for customer services on Phones4u/Dialaphone websites, I thought it was now illegal to use such numbers for customer services?

I thought there must be more to this story than we were being told. I first heard about it on the BBC this morning. They were saying the network operators had spent £millions on their own stores which they only wanted to sell through in future, hence why Phones4U were not having their contracts renewed.

But that begged the question as to how other intermediary sellers, whether in bricks & mortar form or online, are able to continue.

Sounds like the real truth is beginning to emerge about Phones4U.

I've just upgraded over the weekend with Phones4U, paid £79 for the handset and it was an upgrade with Vodafone.


I've just spoken to Vodafone and they have confirmed that the upgrade will be cancelled so I'm free to order again. Will just have to wait for the refund from Phones4U to arrive.

I returned ann item back in beginning of August.I am waiting for a refund of £149.99 and after a few phone calls was promised it on 12th September.Didnt come so now I guess I can forget about it.How long should I wait before contacting barclaycard to try and get the refund through them.Many thanks for any answers

Again, these policies will be honoured. Anyone who needs to make a claim if, for example, their phone has been stolen will still be able to do so, with staff still available to take these calls on 0844 8710535

Does anyone use Life mobile? It is phones4u's own network. I am currently with them (1 year contract) and so is my son. How will that affect us? (I have no luck with mobile phones. First it was ovivo, then vectone and now Life)
