2childmum - motivation comes and goes for all of us so try not to stress about it. I always tell myself that if I didn't achieve a particular thing it is because I was doing something more important at the time, even if that more important thing is relaxing and taking time out for myself. Works for me!

Dogs are walked, yesterday's washed coats are now on the line and recycling and rubbish has been put out.

On a recent walk a woman came out of her house and started having a go at me for no particular reason. I held my head high, explained that I thought she was out of order and carried on. Today on the dog walk, she came out of the house again - to apologise. Well I was really surprised but accepted the apology graciously. Actually I could resonate with some of what she said. We all behave in odd ways when we are under a lot of stress.

Just having a cuppa and biccie (or two or three) and then I will make a start in the garden. Flylady vibes please that the rain holds off for at least a couple of hours.

Hope that your antibiotics work quickly, Jazee, and that you soon feel 100% again. Like the fudge :D Both my brother in York and CY appear to be suffering from the same thing as you. Hopefully the plague will have left the city by half term - will try to make it to the revised meet.

My front door is green because it blends in with the garden in every season ;)

Since Tuesday I have felt exhausted and been falling asleep at every opportunity. Now - and I was rather expecting this - it has turned into a migraine. I feel very cross-eyed but hope I can see well enough to finish off touching up the gloss around the upstairs door frames this morning while DH is working on his garden railway and go shopping later this afternoon (maybe with 40 winks in between), but if I don't manage the shopping it can wait until tomorrow.

Dh has just come upstairs and said, "I need to go to the builder's merchants for another 4x4 fence post" (to mount his railway track on) - then he looked out of the bedroom window and said, "Oh, I've still got one lying on the path on the other side of the raised bed!" DOOOOOOOOOHHHHH!!! At least he discovered it before he went out :o

(((Hugs))), spoons and sticks all round, as needed x

How did you get on in the second HHC, mrs-mp? I managed to do all the bits of glossing round the bathroom door frame and on the stair rails, as well as two little areas of emulsion (in different colours) which have been annoying me for months. Just got to do a few more touches of emulsion in the DR now.

It's amazing what can be achieved when a visit from a houseproud SiL is imminent :rotfl:

Tuesday Twister! ~ Living room, halls and stairs

    15 minutes...

Vacuum floors and sofas and hall and stairs
    30 minutes to spare...
    Dusting, even if around everything
Remove clutter making sure stairs especially are safe and no-one can have any accidents falling down them... Did not get to the dreaded sofa hotspot

Clean TV, other electricals and cabinets
    Got an hour...
Wipe and water plants sorry plants, I'll try and get to you today!
Sort through a dumping drawer/cupboard (my sofa!) FAIL!
Vacuum under furniture you can manage to move without hurting yourself for bonus points I also FINALLY superglued all the amazing moving laminate slats so hopefully they will now stay in place and I won't have ugly gaps in the flooring any more!

    Hi all

I did okay yesterday, the biggie was the hoovering and dusting - looks so much better. Windowsill is neat again, plus as mentioned I've glued the laminate to try and stop it sliding and leaving gaps in the floor! Also hung a picture that had been waiting for ages (great fun leaning over the banister with both arms for that one!!) plus got a new little plant for a gap I've wanted to fill for ages and found the perfect one for £3.50, so really happy there too!

The downside is the sofa hotspot but at least it's contained for now!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Flyladie vibes worked for almost 2 hours and I got cracking in the garden. Managed to get 3 of 5 coats in off the line before the heavens opened. Two are now soaked.

Just having lunch and will the hoover through the house and take a look at today's list. I was going to make veg soup but I didn't get as far as harvesting the veg, so that will have to wait for another day.

Ionafan - hope your head clears soon.

Afternoon all. Been busy here all morning. Got a new spray for the kitchen/bathroom and think it's a bit stronger than normal, I now have a headache and feel a bit sick. DH has done a manky cupboard for me, it really did need it, it had pet foods and bits in, and some other things and don't think it had been sorted for years, can now see the gas/electric meters in the back.

Just going to paste what I have left to do so I can see what to start on next. I have all the kiddies complaining they are hungry but the shopping isn't due till between 3 and 5. They don't want anything I actually have in the cupboards.

Not looking to bad. Going to make a start on the LR now. ive done a quick hoover through all downstairs already this morning so it just needs the sofa and under furniture doing and the throws are off ready to go in washer. Dining table is in LR too so should be able to cross that off the list. Not doing much washing today as it keeps raining.
