An exciting day here - well, more at church actually it - it was struck by lightening halfway through us singing - almighty crash, amplified but the speakers blowing, electric piano went out, no lights, no overhead words - everyone just kept singing whilst the tech guys run around in circles flipping fuses etc - got almost everything back working - I heard that one wire had burnt out. I've never been struck by lightening before!
Got four loads of washing out. I put the first two on airers indoors cos of the rain, but by the time to third one was finished the sun was out, so i hung all three out, only to have it all rained on rather dramatically. Left it out, and have now taken it in only a bit damp, so i need to sort out what needs hanging in doors and what could be ironed dry. The fourth lot was towels so they have tumbled.
Had my parents here for tea, so prepared food for that, and have loaded the dishwasher, and I've taken an inventory of the freezer in the kitchen - the one in the garage is almost empty - it can't seem to cope with hot weather. So I need to plan meals for this week, including guests on Thursday and being out all day Friday, and write a shopping list, and that will be me done for today.
I hope all on holiday have a great time, and those who need more sleep get it!May spend - £291.40/£320.00
June spend - £106.40/£320.000 -
I didn't get around to doing any picture juggling, DD came home not long after I'd finished sorting hers out so I let her declutter the rubbish ones. How many pictures of the Liver buildings does someone need when they live in the city? 17 apparently if DD's photos are anything to go by :rotfl:
We've watched our rental DVD, I made a huge batch of bolognese getting 7 good sized servings out of it so the extra is in pots cooling to go in the freezerI have 2 wash loads to do and a tiny amount of ironing then all 7 wash loads will be done
I've made my bed, my phone is on charge and I'm just going to go and put DD to bed properly. She's not feeling well so I'm hoping a no-alarms wake up/lie in will make her feel better. Catch you on the new thread with my to do list
