Lots more stuff collected, and box of non-perishable foods put together, so just stuff from the fridge to grab tomorrow. Cooked a load of sausages to save us smoking out the caravan
they are wrapped in foil now.
Just need to put the kids clothes in bags, maybe with some extras. I wouldn't mind, I'm coming home on Sunday night lol. But the kids are staying up there with my mum until Tuesday (weather permitting) so will need spare dry stuff.
Then squash it all in the car :rotfl:
Just had to share this, DD said she wrote it all by herself, and DS swears he didn't help her! She's really only written her own name before (independently) then just random letters. Usually I have to spell words out for her, and sometimes write them down for her to copy...Bossymoo

It's just started tipping down here - I hope it's not like this where the boys are camping cos they have to take all the tents down tomorrow and they are all old fashioned canvass, so will be drippy and heavy.
I managed to S&S upstairs and we haven't really used downstairs so I'm ignoring it. Dusted lounge and dining room. Did some work with DD and watched a documentary on the Sumerians (didn't even know they existed until about a week ago!). E-mailed AQA - wonder if I'll get an answer. Cooked dinner - and it was all ready at the same time (stir fry, so not too hard!). Bleached sink - not easy cos the plug doesn't fit so all the water disappears rather rapidly, and did the washing up bowl too. Tried to take DD sailing but there was not a breath of wind so it wasn't even worth trying. She was very upset
Now off to clear the kitchen and feed the gerbils and I'm going to bed.
Tomorrow the boys are back - but not until the evening. I need to clear the airers out of DS room and put the clean bedding back, sort out DH pressie and make vol au vent cases for his mini party.
Good night one and allMay spend - £291.40/£320.00

:bdaycake:
Happy Birthday, Pixie - one year old today!
Good morning all
We had a lovely morning with DGD1+2, including a trip to the park, after which they ate every bit of their lunch and demanded more.
I have managed to knock a few more things off my Toots list this week and it has shrunk to a much more manageable sizeDH is out again all day today, helping to steward a model railway show, so I shall have the place (and the car) to myself and can get on with things uninterrupted, apart from taking him to the station before 8:00 and collecting him late this afternoon.
By Monday evening I need to:
- go shopping
- WMx3
- email the Canals Group about our forthcoming meetings
- email the U3A bookings secretary to ask for a room for our October (or is it November? - must check first!) meeting
- email the new programme to the person who looks after the web page
- update and send out AGM notices to the members of our charity
*deadline today*
- cut and fix plastic radiator pipe covers throughout the house
- put up a mirror in the guest bedroom
- put hooks on the bathroom and downstairs loo doors
- hang photos of the grandchildren which were a Christmas present
- make up the guest bed for my brother and s-i-l
- hem the DR curtains, which I didn't get round to yesterday
- machine hem some small table cloths
- take in 1" on each leg of a pair of light cotton trousers
- check the hooks on the LR curtains
- mow the lawn
- weed the flowerbeds and prune a couple of wayward shrubs
- finish planting out
- make a lemon meringue pie
- wrap DGD2's birthday present
- print out and laminate more course materials
- make canvas sails for 2 model boats
- update the church notice board
- paint 100 small polystyrene balls in a variety of colours (delegate to DH tomorrow)
- go to the tip (delegate to DH tomorrow)
I must also clean all through the house, but it's all tidyWill need DH to help me clean the windows
If I have time I also want to
- re-cover a small chair seat
- make a new drawer liner for my grandmother's sewing table
- do my tax return (but this may entail a phonecall first to HMRC, so may be left for another week)
- remind DH to check his tax code (I think he might still be receiving uniform allowance, but he's been retired for a year)
- take photos and update the charity website (probably defer to next weekend)
Phew! - that should keep me out of mischief :rotfl:
I have an hour now before I need to think about having my shower, so will get on with the emails first. Update later!0 -
Morning lovelies
Happy Birthday pixie x
Dog had me awake at 5.30 whining and wanting her own way, then next door started with their screaming brat and banging and carrying on so yeah, great lol so made a brew and brought it back up to bed.
A good time was had by all at FL, they didnt get back till 7.45 and I was getting a bit tetchy by then, first time all on a trip without me, felt very strange, teenie then spoilt it by throwing a teenie strop so she got a good telljng off.
Plans for today, erm, just whinging it mostly, do have to go to the PO to collect my parcels and the bank to make a deposit, other than that whatever I feel like :j dailies though are a given.
Happy Saturday folks x0
