In a world that has decided that it's going to lose its mind, be more kind my friend, try to Be More Kind0 -
Morning everyone - I love the sex ed lesson too. Never had to go through it with my DD mind you - when she was 4 we woke up one Sunday morning to overhear our then 8 year old DS explaining it all to her. He pretty much got it right too. She then went on to retell all this new found knowledge to her friend in the back of said friend's car - friend's mum was a GP and very impressed with her knowledge!
Today I plan to -
do some work with DD
S&S
dust downstairs
bleach the sink
keep the dining table clear - which basically means clear up after working with DD
e-mail AQA
put ironed clothes away (all finished last night)
Then this pm we are visiting a friend to see her chickens and if the weather holds taking her son sailing (well DD is sailing, I'm sitting by the lake with a coffee waving encouragingly)
Tonight - stir fry for dinner, clear kitchen, write up budget.May spend - £291.40/£320.00
June spend - £106.40/£320.000 -
Morning campers, I'm here although don't want to be..feel like carpe for some reason. Probably because the sun isn't shining like it has been for the past couple of days.. Oh and it might also have something to do with the fact I spent 4 hours ironing yesterday morning and I'm feeling the effects a day later.. You would think I would learn wouldn't you.. Hubby had a moan at me when he got home about the ironing and doing it in one fell swoop.. Well if he won't pay for my neighbour to do the ironing, and it has to come out of my meagre money, then I have to do it myself until I can afford for her to do it again.
Kiwi kitten is sticking by my side for some reason, he has curled up wrapped round my feet under the table and is snoozing away. I think he is wanting his human mummy as the weather is horrible..lol He can't go and find Summer cat as she batters him at the moment when he wants a snuggle...poor thing. Oh he's got up and is now settled on the dog bed, gods it must smell to his little nose.. Oh wonder if that is why he is on it, he loves the dogs so much he would snuggle them if he could.. He even comes running to greet them when they come in from their walk at nights, it so sweet watching this wee thing purring and chirruping at two dogs who don't understand.. :rotfl:
I need a little advice/help from you lovely people, I'm looking after my niece from tomorrow for 10 days, days at my house and nights at her home to look after the pets during the night... The rest of the clan are going away for the 10 days on holiday - long story but she can't go as she was awful last year abroad and my sister really can't take it again.. She needs a break from her.. Trouble is she is 15yrs, sometimes acts like a 6yr old and also has Aspergers. We have looked after her at weekends for a couple of nights before, but Dave has always been here to help me and he seems better at it than me.. But now the week days it will just be me. I do have plenty of things planned, have the menu planned for the week and the picnics but I haven't told her what days etc we are doing these things as the last time I told her something and we didn't do it until late she got really uptight and fidgety. So on the advice of her mum I am only saying we are doing these things but don't know when as it depends on weather etc... She also knows if she has her tantrums/moods that one nice thing will get taken off the list and a boring thing will be added instead..
Is there anything else I should be doing, saying or such like. I know a couple of you have children with difficulties so all help/advice would greatly be appreciated..
Off to have a late shower and take my puffer as my asthma is playing me up at the moment.. I know that's probably the stress of worrying about next week..
Hugs and spoons to everyone xxx

Thanks embb and ionafan we actually bought it online so not somewhere I can take it back to. Would need to arrange collection etc. anyway, I called a local bike shop and explained and he said to bring it there. Waited for mum to get here then took the whole bike (!) and 5 min later he had replaced the inner tube, refit the wheel and pumped it up solid :T Cost £10 including the new inner, and much less hassle. All done now, happy little girl and stress-free mama
Had some lovely chicken lemon and pepper meatballs for lunch, rather spicy but very tasty, there's enough left for my dinner too
More washing done, DW filled, washing hung up. Kids clothes out for camping. Really ought to write a list of what we need to take. DS is taking his fleece onesie lol, I hope it's not that cold on a night! Still, he liked to play out in it before bedtime, but will probably change for bed. Bless him.Grocery challenge-

So my friend came earlier than expected so from 11am onwards got nothing done. But oh did have a clear out of his drawers. He has been getting stressed with them for ages as he can never find anything to wear! He is a runner so has loads of tshirts from races. Half of which are so awful, he will never wear. So from three drawers, one bin bag of stuff is ready for the CS. I then said shall we stop there or do the wardrobe. We got everything out of the wardrobe and put it on the bed, before he decided we shop pop to the shops and have my weekly weigh in! A day late! (Lost a pound though even after our weekend away) then friend called to say she was at the train station. So what happened to this large pile of stuff? Yes it was still on the bed at bedtime so OH has dumped it all on the floor! Grrr!

I do write a list. My head doesn't work the same these days and I forget stuff. So I have a list, usually grouped, so sleeping bags and air beds, food, crockery etc
Beyond that I just kind of hope it all fits in, and if we forget something, well, we won't be too far from civilisation
Kids won't eat despite having spent an hour earlier nattering me that they were hungry, getting fed up of throwing waste food away. Refuse to make anything else
Right, downstairs loo is done, so I'll go do the others...Bossymoo
