    Making slow but steady progress

    Cat beds changed
    Kitchen floor hoovered and mopped
Wash number I don't know on the line
    Bit of deheading done

I need to go to buy food now, DS3 can come with me and then I will clean the bathrooms which I've been putting off.

cases down as well as some other hol type bits.

ive just eaten part of a tasty frog. DD2 had booked me an over night stay at a spa place with DH for mothers day. with mil being ill i hadnt got round to booking then it suddenly dawned on me it had to be booked midweek before the end of the school summer hols. i cant take term time off with working in a school. so when we get back off summer hol we have got to squeeze a spa night in. just need to forward a copy of the voucher DD gave me via email within 24 hours to confirm booking. printer wont scan for some reason so got to get DH to do it at work tomorrow.

searched out some photos that Dh just rang and asked for.

need to search out some bedding and towels to pack now.

glad the bike is now sorted Bossy. (and lovely photo)

LW glad to gear you and MrLW are both ok. thought of you when i was in sheringham the other month they had a real ale festival on the station platform. (and very nice it was too, we supported it by sampling a couple of pints each.)

just found this when i was going trough some photos its when DH2 got the attendance award (DD3 is with him)

I've sorted a hotspot! I have a 3 drawer plastic unit thingy that I use for our recycling bits, and one of the drawers has been pulled out and piled high with various papers for about 2 months. I even had to dust underneath the drawer it's been left so long  anyhow I have sifted through it all. Kept a few of the kids masterpieces and home-made cards, a couple of bits of post, and recycled the rest. It's now happily back in its home ready for any other paper / card for the green bin.

So we are in a fairly good way here although I haven't remade my bed yet, the mattress is airing ;) I think the kids bedding is dry (glorious day here) so that can be put away tonight.

I also have some washing on hangers on my new indoor whirligig (although it's currently in the garden lol) so fingers crossed they can go straight to wardrobe and bypass the ironing basket :T

I need to do the bathrooms (probably when kids are in bed) and vac upstairs (probably not when kids are in bed lol). Actually might drag the vac up now while they are playing Dora on the wii...

    Afternoon Flyladies

Glad to hear Mr LW is home safe and sound :)

I have had a busy day. We were stuck on the wrong side of the lounge door this morning, the latch is broken and I didn't think we'd be able to get it open without battering the door down  DH managed it in the end, thank heavens.

Been to the paid stuff for a few hours, one of my customers is having some work done in her house and had dismantled most of her bedroom, taken down both sets of curtains, washed dried and ironed them and was standing on a step ladder hanging them back up when I arrived -- she's 92!!! I gave her SUCH a telling off, and I've said I'll go back tomorrow to help get the furniture back into place etc. I understand that she desperately wants to hold on to her independence but there is no shame in leaving the heavy and high stuff for me to do. I've also said I'll take her to the bank in town rather than her having to catch the bus, she only gave her car away a couple of months ago, I doubt I'll still be breathing at the age of 91, let alone driving :rotfl: She is such a lovely lady, but she scares the poop out of me with some of her antics!

Anyhow, had to go to Homeba$e for a replacement latch. Finally got it fitted (one of the screws on the handle was stripped so I couldn't get it undone ) only to discover that the latch no longer engages with the door frame as the … sticky outy bit… is about 3mm shorter than the old one. B&Q latches are too long, the ones we ordered from Magnet are too fat. It's just a big, fat headache. I might suggest to DH that we remove all the doors and make it "open plan", it'd stop DSD slamming them if nothing else :D

I'm off to try and scrape a load of washing together (no skids here this week, my washing machine is wondering why it's not getting it's twice-daily workout), give the kitchen and bathroom a mop and get myself destinked.

Sounds to me as though you are sailing through Lamewolf. I am seriously impressed with how you're coping because I know you were worried it would overwhelm you. My laptop is playing up, so I can't do jumping with joy, angel and clapping emoticons, but I tried, several times to do all of them for you.
Thank you, HB. I have a strange coping strategy, I guess - if I'm seriously stressed, I clean something.:rotfl: Oh well, I guess it's better than comfort eating.:D

Mr LW is now on "The Colour of Magic" DVD. I'm going to log off and take Jessie in the garden for a game with her ball.:o

I have really mucked up the timing on dinner tonight - estimated time of everything being ready is going to spread out over about 20mins rather than all at the same time - have to decide whether to eat each bit as it's ready or try and keep some warm! My head really is not working at present!

Never mind, I have some successes to report:)

Decided on food for DH mini party, wrote a shopping list to last until Monday, bought food and put it away.
Got DD to her kayaking course, and remembered to pick her up again!
Went to the party shop and got age 50 serviettes and a dangly decoration thing and table cloths, then went to poundshop and got blue plates the exact shade of blue to match!!
Bought a dress reduced in the sales to wear at the party, but it is ok for an everyday sort of dress (well, not for cleaning in, but maybe for wandering about the place)
Did a load of washing this morning and hung it out (must remember to take it in again!), then rinsed out DD wet suit and hung that out too - it usually dries almost straight away. I now have another load in of other bits that need the lake washed out of them, and the rest of the wash from the bottom of the basket - IT IS EMPTY!!!!!!!!!
Booked the sailing boat for tomorrow (still ignoring the weather) but I didn't have to pay up front and can cancel if the weather is dire - they won't let you sail in a thunder storm!

Pots are ready so I've drained them and put them back in the saucepan, hoping they will stay warm!

After dinner I still need to S&S, and plan to clear the kitchen and tackle a bit of budgeting and maybe a bit of ironing (depending on how bored i get with the budgeting

LW - smiled at MrLW watching all those Lord of the Rings DVDs - DD is working her way through them, but as I won't watch them she has to do it in very little bits! Hope he is up and about soon
    May spend - £291.40/£320.00
    June spend - £106.40/£320.00

    Oh yikes, pigpen

I love The Lord of the rings trilogy! I could watch it again and again, I have the box set which my DH bought me some years ago.

Visit by dad decluttered, he helped pump DS tyres (after all that with DD bike, now his looks iffy ) so think we are set for taking them camping. I've brought the washing in, and pottered around. Oh. I made my bed up and dusted and vacced in there and the ensuite. Vac is still upstairs for kids rooms which didn't get done, but they've picked their toys up tonight.

DD has been in trouble :( on 4 occasions today I've asked her either to do something, or stop doing something, and it's taken 4 requests to get her to even listen. By tonight I'd had enough, she got a tap on the bottom and sent to her room. When I went up she was crying and said I'd made her sad  anyway I explained that when mummy asked her <various> things she ignored me and that is naughty. She was beside herself and said sorry, so we had a love and we are friends again.

Then DS decided it was a good time to ask how cancer makes you die!!! What a lovely afternoon  this is after he asked yesterday about the "seeds" in his "tezdicals" and how he was supposed to get it out to share them with someone :rotfl:

Biology lesson for a 5yr old anyone?
