Well after refusing to sleep and ending up crying for well over an hour Pixie finally went to sleep just after 10pm.. and is still asleep ... I think she wore herself out!! I cannot listen to them crying and she was just raging because I was not right there holding her and after nearly 1.5hours trying to get her to sleep I was fit to murder.. so I left her. She was hysterical for about 5 minutes and just did a bloodcurdling scream every 10 seconds after that before falling asleep.. about 20 minutes after I left her!! OH had tried and she was not accepting him!! lol.
bit glum here today but according to my laptop app it is sunny so I'm going with that one.. BBQ later apparently.. so it'll rain for certain!
OH has tidying to do when he gets up.. haha...
I don't want Pixie to be big.. 2 birthday in 5 days is more than my fear of empty nest syndrome can bear
Pesties fed.. off to make a cuppa while they sing to Frozen songs while they are supposed to be eating.. what are the odds they will say 'my breakfast is too soggy to eat!. ... gggrrr....
Cuppa and loo, I shall whizz through the kitchen while the kettle boils. Knitting while I drink though I think.. I have about another week or so to do on this project.. I'll show you when its done if you are not on my FBLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Vacuum and mop the hall floor
Put stuff up in the loft! This has been a frog all week!but hubby out and can't manage the heavy stuff on my own. But really aiming to get it done today.
I am also aiming to do one or two toy boxes a Day in ds1's bedroom. Only 16 in there! He also seems to have shot up over the summer so even though I sorted his clothes recently, I am noticing his tshirts are getting a little small. He is 5 and most of his 5-6 are getting too small! I bought him a 6-7 one the other day and it fits perfectly but worrying me how quickly he is growing up! Then the dreaded wardrobe which is full of mainly toys! This will be an ongoing project!
We are off to swimming this morning and a promised viewing of frozen later this afternoon. We have a rule that all new films have to be watched as a family first and he has had this a week already! Bless him! In between will be flying and shopping!
My iron stopped working last week so got a new one yesterday. This morning the kettle gas stopped working! So looks like I will be back at Argos today!Grocery challenge-

Morning all, been a busy few days here. Got my heating fixed which cost £30 for a man to tell me my temperature thing was down too low, so cross but at least it's working now. (must use google more lol)
PIL are back from holidays so no more cattle to do. Kids finished summer scheme so it will be a quiet one next week. Charity stuff to be lifted today think I've sourced the 100 plants needed
Today will be washing and a trip to the city, DS1 will have his new school bag and all boys some tracksuits. Would really need to clean the car today aswell.

Morning all.
Been MIA as I've been working and then we started the decorating yesterday! 2 hours to strip wallpaper off 2 walls and then another 4 hours filling holes & cracks! I'm only going to be using 1000 grade lining paper so I want as many dents filled as possibleI will have to buy more filler though as I've nearly finished the opened 2kg box I had! Didn't help that the plaster crumbled away when removing rawplugs leaving 2 big deep holes, and DD said there was a 'nail' that needed removing, so I pulled at it with a pair of pliers and it turned out to be reinforcing strip mesh stuff and pulled a good 6" strip of plaster out  Once I've sanded it all down its going to be the smoothest the walls have been since the house was built in 1930s :rotfl:
LW - Healing/coping vibes and a bucket of spoons heading your way
I'm just going to update my finances so I know how much DIY money I have left, then I'll get changed into my decorating gear, and get on. DD has just gone up the step ladders and taken the curtains down for meHoping to finish stripping the room today, if not filling all the holes. :rotfl:
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Fnally finished the bathroom cleaning
WM1 jut done so I'll bung that on the line and reload and then when the boys have showered tacle the shower room; DH back from buying a new shower pump so that is the rest of his day sorted. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Happy Birthday Pixie - I hope she is in a happy mood when she wakes up!
Nicki - I hope your decorating goes well - we live in a similar age house and the walls are either so solid you cannot get a nail in anywhere or they crumble into nothingness. We resorted to having a whole wall replastered when we decorated our room. We really need to do DD's room but there is nowhere for her to sleep while we do, so that will have to wait until DS goes away in October.
Re AQA (can't remember who asked - sorry) I want to know whether they will still be doing the level 2 certificate in further maths once the GCSE s change. We are planning for DD to sit GCSE maths under the old scheme, at the end of what would be year 9 and then if she wants to carry on with maths to A-level do this further maths certificate in year 11, but I do need to know that she will be able to do that. The GCSEs are so all over the place at the moment, and as we can't do many GCSEs cos of the course work we usually do IGCSEs - but everything is in such a state of flux it's a bit difficult to know how to plan for the best. I did get a standard 'we will reply shortly' e-mail back, but no answer as of yet. I was hoping to get in before the rush of people contacting them after this years' results go out.
I've sorted DS room, and we've been out for breakfast (last girly treat) so now I need to organise bits for DH birthday
Have a good day everyoneMay spend - £291.40/£320.00
June spend - £106.40/£320.000 -
