Oh Piggers, hope your day/mood improves.

I haven't heard back from the MOT place yet so I'm hoping that no news is good news. I've done the weekend dailies, village shop and walked the dogs and am having a fairly relaxing day really, just having lunch.

Just had to share this, DD said she wrote it all by herself, and DS swears he didn't help her! She's really only written her own name before (independently) then just random letters. Usually I have to spell words out for her, and sometimes write them down for her to copy...

    Happy Birthday Pixie :bdaycake:

I am officially cream crackered. Today I have:
    • Exercised Jessie in the garden and poo-picked the garden (my job anyway)
    • Changed the bed (we usually do this together) HOWEVER... I took the very good advice to put a flat sheet under the duvet, so no need to change the duvet cover; and I've made it up with another flat sheet in place of the usual fitted undersheet.
    • Done a WM load (this is my task, but Mr LW usually hangs the heavy stuff out - having to do this myself for the foreseeable)
    • Cleaned the bathroom and the bath lift (usually we do this together, with Mr LW moving the bath lift out for a thorough clean)
    • Done the Dys0n Tango (my task anyway) Mr LW entertained Jessie while I did this.
    • Taken Jessie for a nice long walk (my task anyway)
    • Fed Mr LW.... and yet again forgot to eat anything myself.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

    *ouch*

Please eat, Lamewolf, even if it's only a boiled egg and soldiers.

Happy birthday, Pixie, and calming and cheering vibes for you, Pigpen.

Have flown the chalet, discovered four wine glasses have mysteriously disappeared. Four! And a pillow will have to be chucked because it's soaked in hair oil, the second one this year. It's a new problem and I'm not that thrilled because they're all feather pillows and were all washed pre-season after the mouse visitor over the winter.
    Better is good enough.

    Debt-free and Proud!
Well, we spent 4 1/2 hours taking 3 loads of rubbish to the recycling centre from the garage.

OH has suddenly decided that all the "it might come in handy" stuff is carp, yeah, and can be tipped :T so we have done all that.

Next year when the debt is gone we will spend on skips and dismantle the garage so it won't get condemned at survey when we try to sell the house, eek!

    happy Birthday Pixie

am worn out - DS and I car booted today - we got rid of LOADS but had some to bring back - first time in over 10 years (I was still married last time I did one!) Toys have gone *fling* so am very pleased! The aim of the game was to get rid of as much as possible so prices were low:rotfl:. Also admission to sellers is from 10 am so not a ridiculously early start! Right by a Motorway junction so high footfall. Stuff has sold that has been in the loft for over 10 years!

Both the Vallikids are at work

    I am exhausted..

Dot excelled at being naughty, if you could see the state of her!! Seriously.. she looks like an urchin!! Her hair has not been brushed since last Sunday or Monday and looks like wet string, it takes 2 of us to bath her, she leaps out if you take a hand off her, she is terrified of slithering down the plughole... she has her moments!!

Squeak has talked constantly, at top volume ALL day!!!!

    Pixie is just wonderful ..

    Ouch, mummyroys!

LW, please remember to eat with Mr LW.

Well done with your car booting, Valli.

Lovely picture of the birthday girl, Pigpen.

I lost a post earlier
Ah well, a few more achievements to report now...

    Today I have
    - taken DH to station this morning and collected him this evening
    - written the various Canals Group emails
    - updated, printed and posted our charity AGM papers **on time**
    - mown the lawn
    - hand-sewed the curtain hems (3x 54" widths) - it took me 3 hours, but I watched 3x WDYTYA (old series)
    - pressed the curtain lining hems and table cloth hems ready to machine tomorrow
    - 2x WM hung out to dry and rescued in the nick of time when it began to rain
    - HHI (all up to date)
    - delegated painting of small polystyrene balls to DH

It's a good start - might have been even better, if my shoulder had not started hurting again :(

    More to do tomorrow!

Good night all. Here's hoping we all get a good night's sleep - I need it, I'm shattered.
  • Hi everyone - I'm back - but have only caught up on the last page.
Have had an exhausting but productive week at DS whilst he's been away. Loads done and more to do - hopefully next Friday. We are exhausted and my knees are sore from kneeling and washing the hard floors three times!!!

Will start again with new thread - have a great Sunday everyone.
