I've got a date tonight, going to her place, but I'm quite nervous. Advice?

Why do you assume so? Don't you think she would have mentioned it if she had?0 -

42 isn't exactly ancient..... you clearly didn't think so on Saturday nightEarly retired - 18th December 2014

I sent her a text last night and she hasn't replied, so either she's annoyed about the question regarding std's and is refusing to talk to me now or she was using me and doesn't want to talk now. She never takes this long to reply to my texts. I will feel a bit let down if she just used me for a casual fling.0

I don't know. I have no idea what she would have done. Why would she tell me if she took a morning after pill? I never thought about the aftermath.0 -

I know it isn't, but I have heard there are health implications for pregnancy over 40. I obviously don't want her to be pregnant, which is what worries me now. I hold my hands up and admit that I should have taken precautions, but i would have also thought she would have suggested using protection. I was caught up in the moment, but if she pre-planned to want sex with me, shouldn't she have made sure to provide protection? I have a right to be angry too.0 -

You have zero right to be angry - it's you job to look after your own sexual health, not hers. Next time you go on a date...actually GO ON A DATE, going to a womans house the first time you meet her is not a date, its a booty call.Saved so far - £28,890.97

Oh that's hysterical! !!!!!!?? If you don't want to worry about sti's or unwanted pg then use a condom. Not rocket science. She didn't force you to have unprotected sex so what on earth do you have the 'right' to be angry about?0 -

Because you asked it in the least tactful way..
Your text to her ought to have been more regarding the precautionary side and risk of pregnancy.. She may have then said she's on the pill\other methods. To flat out ask about STI's is likely to offend most people..
She may have had checks with other screening to do with pill or coil methods. She may have seen someone in the past that had something, so has since checked that to ensure she's all clear..
But instead you chose the most naïve & insensitive way of asking.
Any fears you had regarding STI's should be by way of an appointment at local clinic..
Your comments about her are rather critical - but what does that say about your own actions as well..
really should have taken something yourself - although I do reckon you would have been stupid enough to have put them on the coffee table when you first walked in and started talking...
There is a huge amount of pot\kettle in this thread- you've not been the most complementary person in how you've strung her along to this..and to now ask that...kingslayer wrote: »I sent her a text last night and she hasn't replied, so either she's annoyed about the question regarding std's and is refusing to talk to me now or she was using me and doesn't want to talk now. Perhaps she reads this forum?.......
LinYou can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset.0
