Resolve the dispute between you over mere stuff by not having it. Enable a fresh start with fresh belongings. She's been very unprofessional by trying to drag your boss into a personal issue and involving her father (a bit like the way you are risking compromising her privacy) but surely this doesn't mean you have to abandon civility, too?

A quick email to the affect of 'I think its better for the both of us if we bring this issue to a timely dispute. I am happy to handover the car and all furniture you purchased to you, uplifting all on a single occasion and on a date/time that's suitable for you. I'd be grateful if you could give me a bit of notice for your visit to collect them. Best regards'.

OP, I do sympathise with you, as you obviously loved your ex and are still hurting and grieving over the loss of your future together, but I agree with Big Aunty. You need to cut ties and move on and to do this you need to just offer the items back to her and buy your own replacements. She is obviously not the person you thought she was and is determined to get her "pound of flesh".

Oh the good old says...my Ex wanted me to give him £500 + the TV because I kept the furniture we had brought together + and he had given me £500 towards the car insurance (the dining table & the TV)

I told him where to go although I was more then happy for him to come and pick the dining table up as neither of us needed it...I had paid for practically everything in our relationship and I had savings so he just knew I was good for it more then anything :)

He did get the engagement ring back though..he was such an *** it would of been to much drama to keep it and it wouldn't of been worth more then £100 2nd hand anyway.

I would give her at the very least the amount outstanding on both the car finance and the furniture. You split ownership by paying half each (albeit by reducing rent & bills) you can't expect her to continue contributing towards it after you break up. Why should she pay for furniture & a car she can't use? If the remaining payments is a figure you can't afford give them back. She's a fool for believing she could demand the full cost but it would be unfair to leave her lumbered paying off debts for items you're enjoying sole use of.
