Taking a quick break from the indulgence to catch up on MSE land. Got myself a few bits of furniture in the online sales, so that was quite spendy. However, I had been planning to get for some time (cash already saved), but waited till Christmas sales to get the best price possible.
Not got any other spending planned till the new year.

Happy new year
I had a relaxing holiday with family and friends, and completed all the visits I needed to. Now mentally preparing myself for going back to work tomorrow.
I have joined the MFW 2016 challenge and set a goal of £6000. I can OP up to £8400 this year, but I also want to build some savings towards replacing the kitchen and bathroom.
Wishing you all a successful 2016

Just had a regular saver mature (hence the posting in the small hours
).
Task 1 - Immediately apply for another 6% regular saver account depositing the maximum allowed each month. Check
Task 2 - OP the interest earned on the matured account to the mortgage. Check
Task 3 - Transfer the original deposited cash (the stake money) to an account earning more interest while I decide how much will be allocated to OPs, renovation, EF, and other pots. Check
Task 4 - sleep!!!
