We got our mortgage offer last week, so I have all my stats, I will repay £1.81 for every £1 borrowed if I don't overpay. I have already made tables as to how fast it will be repaid with £X/£Y/ £Z overpayments a month.

If our mortgage payment was the same amount we have been paying in rent for the last 18 months, our 26 yr mortgage would last 6 years. I am aiming for MFin10

Many of us have my spreadsheets set up to project this. Playing around with different overpayments, or changes to interest rate becomes very eye-opening. I will have my fingers crossed for your new mortgage.

Haven't seen you around for a little while. Hope you are not working too hard MC and that all is well in your world :)
  • Sorry for going AWOL.

Had a very busy time with work, and been chasing my tail recently. I have now come down with a bug, which for me is pretty unheard of so I think it must be work/stress induced.

Anyways, I have booked myself some time off work and this will be the proper rest that I have needed for a while.

Aw MC take some 'you time' and very deserved R&R.

That signature is looking fantastic :T well done you. OPs are blazing that total down. No more A Team Van, leg-warmers, padded shoulders, rubiks cubes or Simon Le Bon. You have now progressed to arriving in a Corvette, playing on Space Hopper, singing along to the BeeGees :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

  • Feeling much better now thanks, probably just a bit run-down because i've been overdoing it recently.

Got one more big OP that is from additional work I have been doing, which has now ended at least for the foreseeable future. It means that my work life balance will be more, well balanced. :D

I'd quite like to get through the 70s quite quickly, as im not yet loving tank-tops and these flares are going to give me bad chaffage

  • Evening MFWers.

I thought I'd update you on things in my world. I took some time off work to recharge the batteries. Spent most of it at home pottering and catching up on odd jobs, though I did have a short break away on the continent as well.

Back to work today and it went surprisingly well considering.

Nothing recently on the OPing front as I had to cover my trip away, so this month will be lean in that regard. I do however have a few outstanding claims for expenses and extra work, which once processed will be a rather nice bonus OP :D.
