Evening friends,
A piece of good fortune to report today......... I was away a couple of weekends ago and the train I was on was delayed. Went onto train company website and filled out a delay repay form and sent them a scan of the tickets and they sent me a travel voucher for the full amount. :j
It is worth noting that for train companies signed up to delay repay you can claim for any journey that is delayed by 30 minutes or more, even if its for bad weather.

Neither had I. It was only cos the conductor mentioned about compensation with another passenger that I went onto their website to check it out.
I suspect it is something that very few people are aware of.

Hi MC
 to you too
I regularly use the delay repay scheme...figure it's better my money than theirs! I've mentioned it to a few people on my regular commute and most of them were unaware... but there is a quite a few of us that put claims in now

Hey BW,
I dont envy your commute, but at least it makes it marginally less painful when there are leaves on the line or some toe-rag has removed all the signalling cable.

Just made one final OP for the year, so that I could sneak under a nice milestone. :j
I've have now paid off over 20% of the total mortgage.
Not sure I've mentioned I keep a separate tab on my spreadsheet that tracks the amount left owed each month assuming I had just stuck to the minimum repayments. I would still owe over 100 grand

Well done MC, that's a fantastic achievement and a brilliant way to see out 2015.
Keeping a tab showing 'where you would have been' is a fab idea.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Budgeting & Bank Accounts, Credit Cards, Credit File & Ratings and Energy boards.
