Hello everyone, how are you all doing? Not been on in a while, been licking my wounds and considering my next steps.

I thought I'd pop on and tell you that I spoke to the adoption people and we are going to try and pursue that angle, although thats terrifying in its own right and I am unsure if we'll pass the criteria.
  • I injected, was given the option of the nasal spray but I can't even take those cold remedy sniffer things so for me the injection was the easier option! The buserelin doesn't need to be kept in the fridge, I just kept it in my bedside drawer, but you will need a sharps box so I suppose it's not as easy to carry round with you if you're on holiday.

picklekin - Good luck with the adoption route

I have got the WORST trapped wind today, it's horrendously painful and I can't do my pants up I'm that bloated ( Just as well I'm at home today :rotfl: ) Am I safe to take something before I pop/float off into the air...

Choc- hope you're not feeling as bloated today. Are you having transfer today or Monday?

Picklepin - we have gone through the adoption process and are waiting to be matched with a 3 year old boy. Please feel free to pm me if you want to know anything. Wishing you lots of luck x
  • Morning ladies!

Was literally all set to go when the phone rang. Embryologist said we have 5 or 6 embys at 8 to 9 cells so she can't say at this point which is the best to use so wants to give it a couple more days and has moved ET to Monday now. Was all geared up and prepared for it, but I guess it's a good thing we have that many at that stage? She didn't mention grading so I don't know how "good" they are though.

  • Morning all

Haven't been feeling too good this weekend, still extremely bloated and yesterday started having trouble with my breathing, feels like I can't take a deep enough breath which I started getting in a panic about. Eventually called the on call IVF doctor who said I've overstimulated and they want to do some blood tests Monday to check the extent. I had worried that's what it was and almost didn't call because now I'm worried ET on Monday will be cancelled which I know is stupid because if they do cancel its for my own good. So feeling a bit scared now :(

I hope they sort it out chocoholic_chick, as someone with asthma I know how scary it can be to not be able to take a breath.

Having a confusing time of it right now, we haven't been able to find a new house so still living with my parents and OH with his dad. Have spent two weeks chasing houses, but there just isn't anything in this area. Our town is always in the news for things like that, and UKIP, and no work, its easy to work out what town it is when I say I'm in Lincolnshire.
However things have altered a bit. For the better that is. And at some point soon I will be moving again. It's all very confusing, but we found out two days ago that OH now owns a house! We are still waiting for some details but at some point soon we will be moving into our own house, no mortgage, nothing. I am so shocked. But am trying what we should do in the short term as we don't know when we can move in, and it could be up to 6 months.
Remember never judge someone that makes a mistake, because in six months time it may be you that makes the next mistake.
  • Vesper thats wonderful news about the house! At least theres something positive for you to focus on.

I'm in quite a lot of pain today, look 6 months pregnant and im getting pains in my back and still having trouble on and off with breathing. Other than taking paracetamol and drinking plenty of water is there anything else I can do at home? So scared they're going to cancel ET and my embys aren't going to be viable for freezing :(

If a woman (who is undergoing IVF treatment) presents with severe bloating, nausea and vomiting, shortness of breath and reduced urine output, urgent assessment in hospital is required.
