Enjoy your holidays skaps hope it gives you some head space and a chance to relax.
Choc hope all goes well today. Everything crossed for you.
Afraid I can't help with the timeline floaty but I'm sure you'll feel ready by the time of your appointment.
I'm moving onto my last month of ovulation induction with menopaur (not gonal f which I thought I was taking!!!) Really hope it works or ivf for me next - which I'm terrified of. You ladies all amaze me.0 -
Hope its all gone well today choc xxx
Floaty - I'm doing a medicated FET at the moment, its about 5 weeks long in total. I started on 17th March with Provera to induce AF (1 tablet a day for 10 days), then started DR-ing on 19th March. Once AF had arrived I had to ring the clinic to book a scan and find out when to start the oestrogen. I had to start the oestrogen (Progynova) on 5th April (3 tablets a day) and they count that as day 1. Day 12 is my scan (16th April) to see if the lining is getting thick. If it is then the ET will be the following Friday (so the 24th). Apparently the ET day depends on how old it was when it was frozen - apparently Fridays are for 5day old embryos. Not sure if that's all clinics or what!?
Skaps - hope you have a lovely holiday xxx
Elephant - hope you're getting on okay xxx
Apologies for not name checking everyone, I'm on me phone at the mo as we're on holiday too (in glamourous North Wales and the West Midlands)0 -
Hey ladies! EC went ok I think, more painful than I had anticipated, didn't feel as though the sedatives did all that much to be honest so had a good all go one the gas and air to get through it. I had said I thought wed get 15, dh went for 12 and we ended up with 17 so think we did well

Hope everyone is ok, and that everyone going or currently on holiday is having a lovely time :-)
Started my DR sniffer on Tuesday, after what seemed like a life time and 5 phone calls to get our blood test results. I didn't realise when Frozen told me that it left a hideous taste after a couple of minutes, she wasn't joking! It left me heaving after the first lot of sprays! Never mind has to be done and I'm assured I'll get used to it in time :-)
Have a good day everyone x0 -
Morning ladies
Spent most of yesterday sleeping to be honest. Doing OK this morning, though still quite sore. Embryologist just called, 10 have fertilisedSo we're booked in Saturday morning for ET, she said she'd check how they're doing first thing Saturday and if we have some 8 cells they might move ET to Monday. Can relax a bit now, was dreading the call.

Slowly suck a mint after you sniff (don't wait for the taste to start). Foxes Glacier Mints worked for me - didn't get the taste at all once I started doing that.0 -
Well done for EC and fert report Choc
Great news! Everything crossed for ET
Thanks for your timeline Frozen - I'm struggling to know when to start because we've got so many things planned this year, including several overseas trips (both work and pleasure) where long haul flights, timezones etc could be an issue..
On that note, a question. I don't know what drugs my clinic uses for DR, but I gather there are some you refrigerate and inject, some you sniff and some patches? I'm an NHS patient so not sure I'll get a choice, but I might ask to be non-injectables so I can travel more easily. Has anyone else had any success with this?35, OH 39, unexplained IF (all tests normal), no joy w/ 3 cycles of Clomid, IVF1, Jan 2015 - BFN. Currently in 1st FET cycle using endo scratch and EmbryoGlue, BFP 4th July. MC 12th July0 -
I had NHS treatment and asked for the nasal spray rather than injections for DR. Sniffing was so quick and easy - I didn't know why anyone would inject! Took it on nights out, etc, and so easy to pop to the loo and do it. Though sniffing is twice a day rather than once.
I just said I'd prefer it as I'm not wild about injections. They didn't seem to mind at all. I do wonder if the injections are cheaper and that's why they default to them?0 -
Pinkteapot thanks for the tip will be getting some of those then and trying it out as that taste 4 times a day is awful!!
Floaty I got given the nasal spray without any mention of injections etc, whether that is because my consultant knew I wasnt a fan of needles, so nasal spray 4 times a day it is for me.0
