Prepare for unhelpful cliche answer.... there is no real average (sorry!)
Some people will have loads of follies, but hardly any eggs, or they'll be rubbish eggs. Some people will have a couple of follies with great eggs. Most people will be somewhere in between lol. There's also no set timescale to it all. FWIW, I always took ages to respond, then seemed to get loads of follies in the last few days of stimms (after what seemed like a million disappointing scans). Some people will be seeing good results after the first scan.
Sorry that's not more helpful! I fully understand the desire to want to measure progress. Honestly though, it sounds like it's going great - a good number of even sized follies on each side.... good going! I bet by friday things are looking even better. Take care xx.0 -
Thanks Tea, I think because I wasn't given any indication by the hospital I didn't know if that was a good thing, bad thing etc but at least it looks as though somethings happening! I've got another scan on Friday morning so hopefully they'll let me know how things are progressing then. Thanks for putting my mind at ease xNew House... New Mortgage! February 2017: £144,000

Oh, and just to add..... anything over about 16ish collected (or something like that) again increases the likelihood of OHSS. I know I bang on about it but just want anyone currently cycling to know the symptoms and keep an eye out for it as it's not nice!
Ok, lecture over!0 -
Thank you frozen for the good luck wishes this morning. Everything went well ( well as well as it can do in this situation ) other than a massive blue & black bruise on my arm from the stupid blood test which took two attempts!! :-( for someone who doesn't do blood tests it wasn't a highlight of my day!!
I begin with the nasal spray 4 times a day on Tuesday and then in for a scan on 21st April with the injections starting on the 22nd all being well.0 -
Tea's right chocoholic, there just doesn't seem to be any straightforward answer really. I wouldn't be too worried just yet though, it seems like you've got some steady-growing ones which will get to a nice ripe size by next week (especially if tea does her magic egg dance
 ) xx
Elephant - excellent news on the dates! I'll pop you on the list ready for next weekxx
Hugs and mini eggs to you all xxx0 -

Hi all,
I've been very out of touch with you all lately, for which my apologies, but am sending love and good vibes to you all, especially Choc, Frozen, Fairy and Elephant xx
I've been doing my best impression of an ostrich lately, but the time has come for our NHS !!!!!! meeting this afternoon, so I'm emerging blinking back into the world of TTC. Harumph etc.
So, any tips for this afternoon's !!!!!!? I'm not expecting any great shakes, a sympathetic 'bit of bad luck' response.. Still, I'm hoping we might get an idea of when we can go ahead with FET. Does anyone have any key suggestions for questions?
Thanks all xxxx35, OH 39, unexplained IF (all tests normal), no joy w/ 3 cycles of Clomid, IVF1, Jan 2015 - BFN. Currently in 1st FET cycle using endo scratch and EmbryoGlue, BFP 4th July. MC 12th July0 -
So this morning when I suggested to OH that we make the most of the bank holiday lie in, he said he was too tired and didn't enjoy it any more. Way to make me feel loved. Is this a common thing when dtd becomes more time controlled, or have I picked one of the few guys who doesn't want it 24/7?!
I'm due to have my scan on Tuesday, even tho he has asked me not to tell him when it is, so I figured we had 4 nice relaxing days to really try and make this work, but obviously not. He's currently still in bed, no doubt thinking how to pass the blame onto me for how he's feeling, and I'm now wondering how we'll ever manage to have a baby if he won't man up and meet his end of the deal.
Sorry, I always seem to use this forum as a ranting board, I know you understand xx0 -

Ah, yes. One of the added bonuses of infertility is that sex becomes a chore; soemthing that is done to schedule because you have to rather than want to. It becomes linked with failure because its not resulting in what its supoosed to and can become a bit...clinical. Its been well over a year since we gave up and our sex life is still damaged. DH never had much of a sex drive anyway and I got tired of initiating all the time and now...its maybe once or twice a month. Its amazing how much of an unattractive failure you feel when he's not up for it all the time like they show you on tv, or in male banter or something but actually, its pretty common.
Anyway, I don't know the solution. I'd hoped time would help and it has a bit, but now we've fallen into the habit of not doing it. So erm, yeah.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -
Floaty - Hope everything went OK yesterday
Laura - Sorry about your OH, as Code said I think we've all been there, being so focused on making sure you DTD when the time was right and not necessarily when the mood takes you. Then when it doesn't work you start thinking what's the point!
Had my scan this morning, the nurse today was lovely, asked how the scan the other day went and when I told her I wasn't really given any information she went through everything with me. Told me I had 14 follicles, they say between 5 - 15 is a good number but they were a bit small hence the slight increase in dosage.
Today I have 21?! 14 on the right, 7 on the left, all between 10 and 17 in size. I guess that explains why I've felt a bit bloated and crampy. EC is scheduled for Wednesday, though they've said that they've had to change up my treatment a little, I'm assuming it's because I have so many follicles they now have to avoid OHSS. So I have to stop taking the Gonal-F after Saturday and stop taking buserelin on Monday ( don't know whether thats normal for the buserelin or not ). Have to have my trigger shot at 8pm on Monday and they told me all about the lovely cocktail of drugs I'll be given for the collection. All being well ET will be either next Saturday or Monday :eek:New House... New Mortgage! February 2017: £144,000
