Hi all,
Vesper, I'm so sorry to hear about your FIL, I do hope the operation has gone smoothly. Primmer - good luck for your forthcoming meeting! Sorry things have been so rubbish Good Vibes, hope things are improving now. Good news on how engaged your new specialist seems, Bigmomma.
Like Shrimpy said, I'd also noticed it's been a little quiet in here, but have been guilty of not posting much myself lately. I owe some belated congratulations to our recent graduates. I'll also confess, however, that I have found it hard hearing of BFPs from people who have arrived in our thread just after the 12m mark, and then quickly fall pg. I don't mean to sound mean-spirited, it's just hard to hear after so many years, and has been part of the reason I've not been around much recently. *hugs*
Sorry to hear of some of the hard times you lot have been having lately. Life can be sh177y at times. I do hope that the slide down into Xmas is more cheerful.
AFM, we're finally getting somewhere. It has felt like a very long wait, but we're booked in for our IVF coordination session on Tuesday 25th Nov. I don't know quite when that will fall in my cycle (it will be CD30 so could be CD1 or 2 or 3!), and I don't know how the clinic handles Xmas/New Year, so we might be looking at a late Jan/early Feb cycle, if not later depending on waiting lists. Anyone else cycling around then?
I'll be on a short protocol, and if we're lucky enough to get to that stage the clinic's policy would be to transfer just one embryo. I suppose between now and the start of the cycle we just need to focus on getting as prepared as we can, physically and emotionally.
I'd be really grateful for any and all tips - I read things here, but now they are actually relevant somehow my memory has failed me! Emmaj30 - what happened at your coordination appt? Any tips? At this rate we might be cycle buds, and you'll be lovely and rested after your holiday
Love to all,
Floaty35, OH 39, unexplained IF (all tests normal), no joy w/ 3 cycles of Clomid, IVF1, Jan 2015 - BFN. Currently in 1st FET cycle using endo scratch and EmbryoGlue, BFP 4th July. MC 12th July0 -
I can cope better with the people falling pregnant after joining here than those that fell pregnant straight after joining the ttc thread.
My friend (who is suspect is pregnant) is moaning that she is feeling sick at the smell of food....mmmmmm.
FIL's operation went ok, they think they have removed all of the cancerous cells, however he had a small stoke just afterwards. I believe he is ok (OH is with him), but am still waiting for news, as OH has gone for food at the hospital, I am hoping that's a good sign. Hopefully I will hear something from him soon.Remember never judge someone that makes a mistake, because in six months time it may be you that makes the next mistake.0 -
Hi all

Oh Vesper, what a worrying time. I hope the news this morning is promising xx35, OH 39, unexplained IF (all tests normal), no joy w/ 3 cycles of Clomid, IVF1, Jan 2015 - BFN. Currently in 1st FET cycle using endo scratch and EmbryoGlue, BFP 4th July. MC 12th July0

Vesper - fingers crossed. hope you and your OH have some good news soon.
Shrimpy - hope time flies by to your next step!
Tea and code - it sucks doesn't it. I'm currently surrounded by pregnant people including ones who've been "trying for ages" (read more than six months...) Sometimes I just want to have a tantrum about it!
Primmer - hope it goes better this time. Good luck with the approval and the next steps.
Skaps and Floaty - good luck for your exciting times ahead!!
Afm - had my FSH and LH checked again - they're the lowest they've ever been and were at the same level for the first time - not sure what that's about. What it does mean though is that I'm going to have three months of gonadotrophins. Hopefully I'll be prescribed them next month, just waiting for an appointment....0 -
Dont you just love it when awol AF turns up in the gym. Left in such a hurry I've lost my membership card... grr!
56 days this time, suppose I should be glad it's less than the 80 of the last cycle.0 -
Hi ladies, hope everyone is doing ok, especially those like me not posting much.
Vesper so sorry to hear about FIL, hope he recovers quickly with a good outcome.
Good luck Primmer with the adoption board, fingers crossed.
Good luck too for you guys starting cycles soon, sorry I loose track slightly of where everyone is at, the joys of replying on a phone!
Tea, AF normally arrives for me the day I wear a dress to work (and I have a white dress as part of my uniform!)
AFM, had my consultant appt the other day, and have been put on clomid for 4 cycles, starting next cycle. He has warned me about over-stimulation as my AMH result was 90, so being very careful, especially as twins run in OH's family  We have decided tho that we will do 2 cycles, then we have already got a lovely holiday to Mexico booked for mid Feb, and then do the other 2 cycles after that if we need to. Watch everyone now say 'oh when you relax on holiday it will happen...' Been there, tried that 3 times, nope, doesn't happen for us :mad:0 -
So the last of the 5 babies has been born and it's a girl and they used one of the names I had picked out for my future baby and I know I don't own the name and its not like we were going to use it, but I'm really upset.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0

Thank you for the best wishes, I means a lot to me.
All I know is that at the moment he is stable and comfortable, I will find out some more soon as hubby spent the night staying near the hospital just in case, and is on the way home soon.
I am just as worried about OH, he doesn't take stress very well and there is no one else in the area to support the pair of them right now except me. He tends to panic and not cope at all well, so I will be glad when he is in safe and I can help.Remember never judge someone that makes a mistake, because in six months time it may be you that makes the next mistake.0 -
