PTP, please don't worry about being honest here. Actually, I find that it's best to hear the bad stories along with the good - if I react badly to the drugs I'll know I'm not alone or going mad, and can always think 'PinkTeaPot had this, and she recovered, I will too'. I hope you can find your decision. Of course the !!!!!! appointment might actually help you decide that the decision not to continue is the best one, so maybe don't rule out going? Could you perhaps postpone it awhile to think about it a bit more?
Lauraw82, good luck with the Clomid. I found I didn't have any weird symptoms apart from about 2 night sweats, hoping you find the same!
I totally get where you're coming from with names, Code and Primmer - my best friend's baby is due today and I have a horrible gnawing feeling that she might choose the one name I've ever considered giving a child. I've never mentioned it to her (or anyone in fact) so I'd just have to be nice and polite about it. Fingers crossed eh!
And, Primmer, good luck for the panel tomorrow!!
Skaps and anyone else who might know, so you know how soon after IVF coordination sessions they tend to start you off?
Also, what are the main physical things to do to prepare for a SP cycle? Other than weight loss? And what should you do during the cycle?
Thanks all, *hugs*
Floaty
PS TeaLover, perhaps your IVF advice is the secret - please could you give me LOADS of advice in the hope that I'll get that elusive BFP before I start?!And I hope things are peaceful for you at the mo xx
35, OH 39, unexplained IF (all tests normal), no joy w/ 3 cycles of Clomid, IVF1, Jan 2015 - BFN. Currently in 1st FET cycle using endo scratch and EmbryoGlue, BFP 4th July. MC 12th July0 -
Thanks floaty. When we had our BFN the clinic asked if I wanted to book the appt and I said we'd wait a bit. They said that we should have it within two months and we must already be up to that - oops. Need to call them and check out what happens next and how long we can postpone.
The biggest thing to remember during treatment, if you feel upset, moody, etc, is the mantra "it's the drugs!". You just have to keep reminding yourself of that, and that there is an end-date for it. Again, only if you're affected badly and this is the worst case!0 -
Not looking forward to the next couple of hours, OH had a phone call from his dad while at work. His dad has asked him to come to the hospital. I have no idea why, but I can't imagine him asking OH to drive over 60 miles to the hospital straight off a 12 hour shift for nothing or some company. He would wait until tomorrow when its hubby's day off if it was nothing of importance. He isn't the sort to even want company, so I don't think it is going to be good news somehow.
I will just have to wait and see if OH messages me and lets me know. I could just be my imagination running riot, I really hope its just silly old me, I just have a gut feeling that its not good.
Sorry I don't feel like I have anyone else to talk to, my friends would just say that it was my stupid imagination and that it was nothing out of the ordinary.Remember never judge someone that makes a mistake, because in six months time it may be you that makes the next mistake.0 -

OH's just messaged me, they found that the cancer has spread in FIL. At the moment its only a small tumour in his stomach but they believe its treatable.
We are gutted, its was already getting to a stage where FIL can no longer properly look after himself, but we are going to have to sit down and discuss things on a serious level. He already has health problems with unmanaged diabetes and problems with his legs meaning he can't walk far and is unstable on his feet.Remember never judge someone that makes a mistake, because in six months time it may be you that makes the next mistake.0 -
Sorry to heat it wasn't great news vesper. Hope that you and OH managed to get some rest and that today is ok. Hope you're getting the help and support you need from the hospital xx.0
