Totally off-topic but I'm uber-excited. Next June will be our 5th wedding anniversary and our first dance was to Rule the World. Just got tickets to see Take That at the O2 on our anniversary!! :D:D:D

It's funny - we got a kitty a few weeks ago. In the few days between deciding to take him and getting him, I was so excited. It was just a couple of months after the IVF. I was suddenly acutely aware of how good it felt to be looking forward to something. Through the TTC journey and even more so during IVF, I was just living day to day and trying not to think about the future. Made me realise we need upcoming happy things to focus on during this journey.

vesper - 2 holidays in 5 weeks sounds good to me!

Ha PTP, that made me laugh - Take That just came on the radio and I did a little dance as I'm so excited about seeing them again next year (got tickets for Manchester :):)) Hope pops is settling in ok.

Definitely agree that it's good to have things to look forward to. Things relationship-wise still v up in the air but am feeling oddly positive today. Have got a lovely night out planned tomorrow (not with OH lol), and yesterday I had my first music lesson in over 20 years and really enjoyed it.... just need to practice now!

For me, I think removing the focus from TTC has definitely had a positive effect, although of course there will be always be moments of sadness that things didn't work out as initially planned - especially as Christmas day was the EDD for both of our ICSI cycles.

vesper - the more holidays the better, surely?? Hope your FIL's doing ok, and that your OH is ok too. Sometimes it can be as hard (if not harder) to be the support rather than the patient. Hugs for you all.

Ooooh tea - we have way too much in common. :rotfl:

It's funny - I was a young teen right when Take That were huge first time around, but I wasn't into them at all. Unlike other girls at school who had to have a day off to cry when they split up. But I like their stuff now. I prefer middle-aged Take That. :D

Just seen your post on the Comic Con thread... I'm a geek too! Jealous that you've met Chris Barrie. :D

Met him a couple of times and he's always been lovely. As you can tell he was my first (and longest-lasting) weird celebrity crush. Even dragged my sister to his stand up tour as my mum wouldn't let me go on my own, must have been about 14 lol.

I have never been a boyband, or man band sort, can't stand modern pop music. I am very much a heavy metal/ prog/ rock lover, hence my huge excitement to getting Download tickets.
Its the first time I have been in a few years, we gave up going as that year was always going to be THE year that we were successful.
I have realised that there no point in planning fun things around family plans. If it happens, it happens we will make changes to our plans. I don't think a weeks trip to Cornwall will run the risk of hurting ttc plans. A rock festival however.... very excited.

The only thing I am worried about 2 holidays in 5 weeks is that I am self employed so taking time off means no income. But hey ho.
