Love the festival, just don't love the 15 years olds that last time kept me awake by yelling right next to my head at 5 in the morning. Have opted for the quiet camping this year, as I am such an old fart.

Resolution to lose weight before next appointment did not go well after baking mince pies earlier, oops. I had ended up with too much pastry after making apple pie. Must remember baking is not good for me. Tried to get the Wii out earlier and managed instead to bust the tv, luckily its only a really really old portable fat backed tv.
Remember never judge someone that makes a mistake, because in six months time it may be you that makes the next mistake.
  • Seen Muse a couple of times and they are fantastic. Very jealous, bet it will be great.

Hope everyone is doing ok. Sorry for being quiet but I was having a bit of a downer on the whole ttc, so have tried to stop thinking about it. This has ended up in us buying a puppy which we pick up next week, excited is an understatement. (Yes, it has been pointed out that it's a child substitute, some people really don't know when to keep quiet do they?!)

Ooh exciting. What kind of puppy?

  • A Cockerpoo (cross between a show cocker spaniel and a poodle) Husband loves spaniels but I'm not great with hairy dogs because of allergies, so I need something with more poodle type hair.

She is beautiful and a really chilled little dot of a pup. Can't wait for next Saturday!

  • Of course! As soon as we get her home next week there will be lots of pictures, and I will get some on here. I know she isn't a proper breed (basically an expensive mongrel!) but she is still proper cute :-)

PTP, please don't worry about being honest here. Actually, I find that it's best to hear the bad stories along with the good - if I react badly to the drugs I'll know I'm not alone or going mad, and can always think 'PinkTeaPot had this, and she recovered, I will too'. I hope you can find your decision. Of course the !!!!!! appointment might actually help you decide that the decision not to continue is the best one, so maybe don't rule out going? Could you perhaps postpone it awhile to think about it a bit more?

Lauraw82, good luck with the Clomid. I found I didn't have any weird symptoms apart from about 2 night sweats, hoping you find the same!

I totally get where you're coming from with names, Code and Primmer - my best friend's baby is due today and I have a horrible gnawing feeling that she might choose the one name I've ever considered giving a child. I've never mentioned it to her (or anyone in fact) so I'd just have to be nice and polite about it. Fingers crossed eh!

And, Primmer, good luck for the panel tomorrow!!

Skaps and anyone else who might know, so you know how soon after IVF coordination sessions they tend to start you off?

Also, what are the main physical things to do to prepare for a SP cycle? Other than weight loss? And what should you do during the cycle?

    Thanks all, *hugs*

    Floaty

PS TeaLover, perhaps your IVF advice is the secret - please could you give me LOADS of advice in the hope that I'll get that elusive BFP before I start?! ;) And I hope things are peaceful for you at the mo xx

Hi Floaty. I've been told either we can start in December when my next period is due or January if I want to avoid Xmas. Good luck for your appointment this week. Let us know how it goes.

Congrats Peonie. What a lovely story. x

Who knew there were so many rockers on the thread? \m/

We've just had a good coordination meeting with the clinic. After careful consideration, we've decided to start our short protocol cycle when AF arrives in mid - Jan 2015. Today is C D 1 and I didn't want to be testing just before Xmas. Then the clinic closes over Xmas, so January felt safe and relaxed. Plus, being sober and healthy in January won't attract any attention at all (as we're not telling anyone), and I can book lots of annual leave. So now I can "just relax" and enjoy the festive season! :D

Anyone else going to be cycling with me?

Hope everyone has had a lovely start to the week,

    Floaty xxxx
