Hi there,
I've been thinking about getting a new phone and cam across this excellent site today. I was looking at the e2save.com website and spotted the free xbox360 offer. The site is a bit short on information on how you go about claiming the the xbox (as well as the other gifts).
Has anyone any experience of claiming free gifts from these mobile phone offers?

No personal experience, but generally they arrive 3-4 weeks after your phone.Certain OTT members have caused me to add this disclaimer: all advice given is free of charge & as such should be taken to be IIRC (as I don't spend hours researching all answers  )!0

I have just got a 'phone through onestopphoneshop. With the 'phone came a free XBOX 360. The original 'phone I received was faulty. I sent back the 'phone and then waited for a replacement 'phone for a month. After numerous 'phone calls (£30 worth) I finally received the replacement 'phone. I am in the process of claiming compensation. I received the free XBOX 360 last week. This week I received another one. The query I have is do I have to return the extra XBOX they sent me or can I keep it? Am I under any legal obligations (I do not care about the moral implications as I feel that it is adequate compensation for their appalling customer care!!)? Thanks in advance.0

If it was me i would keep it, or at least until they notice their mistake and ask for it back, in which case i would ask for a free returns label or get them to send a courier as it was a mistake on their part..
OSPS are the worst company i have ever dealt with, poor customer service, not sending out cashback vouchers with their phones, not sending the cashback claims, i'm still waiting for my 1st cashback claim which was supposed to be credited to my account within 90 days, been with them since May so 90 days has long gone.......
Don't have a good word to say about them, so if it was me, i would keep it...0 -

Hi
My husband has just had a phone call from O2 to let him know his 11 months are up and he can upgrade his phone now. He spoke to them about his tariff, went through to retentions etc but the deal he has been offered this year isnt that good - i guess cos they base it on his spending with them with he tries to keep down and cos he was on a deal from last years upgrade.
So he has had a look on the internet a places offering 'x' months free rental and places offering free gifts and he's seen somewhere offering a nintendo wii for free. If he adds up the cost of this contract vs. the cost of the o2 tafiff + cost of a wii, it works out he's about £50 better off taking the deal including the free wii.
Has anyone ever taken the 'free' gift instead of the contract ? Is it worth it ? My thoughts are yes cos he is constantly going on about getting a Wii and we really dont have the £200 upfront for one but 'paying' for it monthly by taking the contract is like having an interest free loan cos that works out cheaper than the 02 deal offered.
Any thoughts much appreciated!

It is better to be thought of as an idiot than to open your mouth and remove all doubt
