Treated rudely by Tesco checkout staff

It's a bit long, so please bear with me.
I've always encountered some arrogant checkout staff in my local Tesco Metro but it didnt bother me much. But today, I was extremely furious at what happened.
Basically, I had this voucher with free Tesco Clubcard points for buying any Healthy Living Range products (with no minimum spend stated). Bought 4 Healthy Living Range yogurts together with some other groceries and proceed to checkout. This lady was arrogant enough not to reply my "hi", but that's fine. When I hand in my voucher, she said it didn't go through because I don't have the min. spend and said I need to spend £5 and above. I said its not stated on the voucher. I argued that she is giving me wrong information as it was clearly not stated on the voucher. Then, she looked at the voucher again and it was stated " for all Healthy Living Range product EXCLUDING milk" and she said it's not valid because I have to buy milk to qualify. I was like...HELLO? EXCLUDE, not INCLUDE milk!
She kept on insisting she was right as we were arguing and she was very rude to me (I can't remember the exact words she said but she was extremely rude. The line of the queue was quite long and people are looking at me all the time, thinking I've done something wrong. I said I'll definitely file a complaint for her rude behaviour and she said go ahead, she doesn't care (EXTREMELY RUDE). Another colleague approached and she couldn't see anything wrong, so she called in the manager who was kind enough to add the points manually.
I told the manager that I want to file in a complaint about the rudeness of the staff and he asked me to give him my address and he'll write to me (what does that mean?). The manager didn't really apologise as well (at least, I don't remember seeing him apologising).
I was extremely furious and I really need some advise on what to do. I noticed that I've got some extra points added manually by the manager out of goodwill gesture but I don't really want that anymore after what I've been through. I really want that lady to be sacked or at least disciplined for treating me so rudely, humiliating me in public, giving me wrong information (the £5 was totally speculative as she later said she was just guessing that maybe the min spend is £5, £10 or more) and for not apologising. Is this the kind of staff trained by Tesco?
Should I email Tesco Customer Service and complain this to them? Will they even bother to look into this matter? I really don't know what to do, but definitely not letting this case go just like that. Please advise. Thanks.

Cowboy, you are one of many unhappy tesco customers (including me). There seems to be a increase of tesco threads on the 'vent' board. I think Tesco need to provide more staff training to provide the customer with excellent customer service.
I would suggest you stop shopping at tesco and also send your complaint to www.tesco-complaint.blogspot.com0 -

Thanks for your reply, BusinessStudent. Yeah, I'm already reducing my shopping in Tesco due to their arrogant staff but I really didnt expect something like this. I'll probably stop shopping at Tesco altogether (I'm only staying because of the points I'm collecting and the nearer location to my home).
That site really shocked me. Tesco is really that bad... By the way, is that the real CEO email on the Tesco complaint? Any success story for complaints emailed to him?0 -

Reading that blog it looks like the biggest joke in the world. Just a load of people wanting attention.0 -
Oh COME ON!!!!
What do you really expect? They pay, like a pound an hour. The only reason people work in "grunt" jobs like checkout operators in Tesco is because the jobcentre threatened to cut their benefits!!!!
If you want decent service, go somewhere that pays its staff a bit more, where people have a feeling of self-worth and a semi-decent standard of life.0 -

All supermarket retail pays exactly the same an hour give or take 50p for location.
"grunt" job? If thats what I assume you mean then thats such a generalization that the intellect that can come up with that sort of generalization would be rather hypocritical.0 -
So she is supposed to expect rude behaviour just because staff are on minimum wage? The manager is not. Go on complain make a fuss - if more people did then they may take notice"A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi
