Treated rudely by Tesco checkout staff

Because why should we stop shopping at a certain store just because some staff have no customer service skills,we may like that particular store. We could go to loads of other stores and still get the same treatment,so what do we do then, stop shopping completely. No i say nip it in the bud right at the start, and hopefully we wont need to go to another store, just because we feel forced into it, as a result of one or more rude members of staff.
Shopping collectivism.
'nip' it in the bud. What planet are you on? Were not fascist shoppers!0 -
Asking customers to shop elsewhere after they are mistreated is just like asking you to leave the country if you're not satisfied with the government.
So honestly, will you do something like that?
Also, please don't get too personal...everyone. We're not here to make war. As you can see from the banner of this site, it's all about consumer power - we, as consumers has the right to be treated well by businesses. So let us discuss what we can do to deal with situations like this maturely...that'll will be greatly appreciated.0 -
Ok,
Rather than give myself a headache I'd go elsewhere. However Tesco are pretty good around our way.
I have an issue with Mcdonalds - i havent used them for 8 years. Granted it was only 'restaraunt' out of the millions they have but thats my perogative.0 -
Tesco are now so big and powerful that they don't give a flying f**k about customer complaints... I have legitamately complained many times over various things and am always lucky if I get an apology and 100 clubcard points...
Mould in my food - take it back for a refund
Not getting green clubcard points for not using bags - my own fault for not telling them...?
Rude staff (old hag on CS) - ignored
I am quite smug at the moment though because I brought an item reduced and took it back cos I changed my mind but they refunded the full amount meaning I made £15 off them...:D
Not much, but its one for us pesants against the arrogant, ignorant bullies!
Anyway, my advice OP, shop elsewhere... complaining will get you an apology letter if you are lucky, but they won't retrain staff or have a word with them, despite what their template letter says and they will be as bad again next week...
Only when people buggar off elsewhere will they start to take notice, but with their size and power I can't ever see that happening.

No its not at all...
Its like saying "if you're not satisfied with the government, vote for someone else" which is exactly the right thing to do!

As I've already said people still seem to believe other people keep a job for life? Retail staff turnover is 40%. In 2 years it will be a completely new group of people. Your nipped in the bud lot would have gone, so whats that achived?0 -

All this 'if we complain the world will be so much better' attitude is just theoretical. Or something people really want to believe as it makes them feel better. People have been complaining about things for year including supermarket service. If complaining works why has there been no change or even a deterioration as many claim?0

Fair enough, you might be right about this. Then again, if it is true, we expect to see 1 complaint from Sainsburys/Asda etc for every 3 complaints received for Tesco..This is not case, is it?
What evidence is there that Tescos gets 3 times more complaints that asda/sainsburys?
Tescos must be doing something right because they are the UK's biggest supermarket group...The money, Dave...0
