'Putting Out'
Ive never heard that phrase before and its given me a fit of the giggles.:rotfl:

I think she was kidding when she said "putting out"
And to be kind, I don't think that I'd feel very much like having sex with my OH if he was being an !!!! either.
I think you need to make an effort, cook a meal etc, to MAKE some quiet time for the two of you without distractions, Xboxes, shouting, etc and tell him how much this is upsetting you, say that you just can't understand his actions and its driving you crazy. It seems like there isn't a lot of communicating going on here. You need to be looking at each other when you talk, not just passing through a room while he stares at a console.0 -

I don't think he is being a !!!!!! though. Poor guy probably feels that she's more interested in the ring than in him.
Personally, I'm not a big jewellery fan, and hardly ever wear my wedding ring or engagement ring, I really don't see the big fuss women make over them.0 -

Me neither. I probably wear mine for a couple of hours a month, if that!Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0 -
Glad I'm not the only one then! A woman I was bridesmaid for when I was about 6 was all gushing "Ooo let's see your ring", when I told her I didn't wear one she told me quite sternly "put it on", I was like "erm excuse me!'0

'Putting Out'

I had to look it up too.Traditionally, the term “putting out” indicates when a woman is willing to have sexual intercourse with a man. There is no evidence of when or why the term “putting out” adopted its meaning. There is no official definition of the term; therefore, its meaning has several variations. For example, some people interpret the phrase “putting out” as a derogatory term directed toward women who offer or readily agree to sexual intercourse. Other subcultures consider “putting out” to be the act of an “easy” woman offering sex to get something out of a relationship, such as gifts or fame. Still yet, other groups of people consider it to differentiate between extroverted and introverted women, and how likely a woman is to become romantically interested in a man. In this last context, “putting out” would simply mean accepting an offer for a date. The term “putting out” is generally used in relation to the discussion of women. Therefore, it is uncommon to talk about a man “putting out.” Many people find the term offensive and derogatory due to its one-sidedness. “Putting out” usually only applies to women in a negative way.

Perhaps the OP would stand a better chance of getting what she wants if she "Put out" more often, not less.0 -

Get hold of the ring, sell it and kick the bloody bloke into touch!
As the boyfriend paid for the ring, and hasn't given it to the OP, this would be tantamount to stealing, as the ring is not hers to sell. It only becomes hers when or if he gives it to her :cool:Smiles are as perfect a gift as hugs...
..one size fits all... and nobody minds if you give it back.☆.。.:*・° Housework is so much easier without the clutter ☆.。.:*・°SPC No. 5180 -
How do you know that he bought it for YOU, OP?????0

This ^^^^
Except that there's no way that I'd be putting it back under the sink. He'd have to prise it off of my cold, dead hand...........
Failing that, I'd just stand in front of the Xbox, screaming "Where's my ring, where's my ring, where's my ring" until he got the message.
Sometimes, you just have to put your foot down where men are concerned!"I may be many things but not being indiscreet isn't one of them"0
