Of women born in the mid 70s statistics show that over 30% had never married by the age of 40.

And I think around 20% of women never have children.

Assuming that most who do have children will have had them by 40 then those 2 stats still leave quite a sizeable pool of women!

This thread is making me laugh. The memories of messages I used to get on pof ,the cut and paste merchants who would send you two pages worth of waffle and the same the next week, the ones looking for a genuine lady. The forty something's who talk entirely in lolz and babbz, people seem to lose vowels as they age. The ones who send you their number in the first message, the scattergun approach, message 2000 and one might say yes.

I should think myself lucky I never got the ive just caught a fish or a naked pic.

I recently tried online dating and I'm scarred for life :rotfl:

I could have had my pick of horny 20 year olds, lots of married guys looking for 'fun' or the just plain weird. Also lots of men who said they wanted a relationship then as soon as they got my number sent me a knob shot :eek:

We do exist!! Im 33, no kids (but want them), never been married (but want to one day), have been told Im quite attractive, am fun to be with, can hold conversation etc.

I already know what my problem is – Im too picky!! I know what Im looking for in a man and if someone on a dating site messages me and I don’t think they have what Im looking for I wont date them. I would rather be single than with someone just for the sake of being with someone until someone better comes along!

I know what you mean, but my wife tells me that I don't fit her preconceived notion of what she was looking for in a man at all.

I don't get the impression that she is with me just until someone better comes along.
