I phoned up my boyfriend's ex-gf. She's a therapist and she told me a few things.

God, he was really ill you know? And I did it out of a sense of human morality to help someone in need... but this boring crap about me owing him. He's so whiney.

You need to get a grip and sort your life out without him in the scenario.

You are an adult and it is up to you if you are willing to have someone in your life who is using you

    I hope so.

    - Phoned 999 once, NHS direct 4 times.... and two out of hours doctors for advice/prescriptions
    - Attended A&E twice, walk-in GP once
    - He's stayed in hospital for 20 days
    - Had 4 CT scans, 3 Ultrasounds
    - Appendectomy
    - Pain relief
    - Antibiotics
    - Dressings changed

Wonder what the tax-payer bill to the NHS is? Is it my moral duty to send them a scan of his US passport photo page?

I'm not, but it's emotionally distressing being told:

    - To apologize for 3 things I did in the hospital (he didn't clarify on the 3 things)
    - I'm mentally unbalanced and false
    - 'You're a !!!! friend!!' (He shouted that one)

Either trolling or not interested in advice already given.

    No point in offering more.
    . . .I did not speak out

    Then they came for me
And there was no one left
    To speak out for me..

If this really is a genuine thread - and I still doubt it - then this person has taken advantage of our much-stretched NHS and could have deprived a genuine person of treatment. Call the hospital, tell them that he is a visitor from abroad, give his address details (credit card details too, if you have them!). They will then raise the necessary invoices.

I have to pay travel insurance to ensure that if I fall ill when I'm abroad, I can be treated; our NHS is running on empty - hospitals have a duty of care to recoup all costs due from so-called health tourists.

There's a Praise Vent and Warnings board...you could name him there too as a warning to others?

It is true. Every time I range 111 no one could find him on the system because.............. he has no NHS patient number! He is too cheap to pay for travel insurance or even healthcare insurance in the USA. He has broken bones in his feet before and not sought medical attention in case the cost is too high. Essentially he took a risk and we all are paying for it.

So you are saying that you are prepared to allow someone to treat you like that.

I have nothing else to say to someone who has no self respect and until you are willing to change your life, no one can help you
