:wave:Hi Dia Pita,
Good luck with your list.
Distractions and a loss of motivation have been my recent experience, but since starting this challenge things have been achieved.0 -
So another list to tackle:-
Sunday - tidy up day done.
Monday to Saturday :-
Food freezer week - eat from stores as want to start 2015 afresh with a new healthier and easier to manage diet.
Front garden still has jobs needing doing.
Seed project - keep collecting garden seeds for next year and check sowing instructions on those already stored.
Wardrobe update.
E-bay bid for health product?
Declutter something daily.
Hope everybody is doing okay.
Hi, an update:-
Only purchased milk and sweeteners so far.
Pruning jobs being done.
Lots of seeds collected so will be good to have "free" home-grown produce next year. Some sowing info of existing seeds recorded.
Done some wardrobe jobs; organising garments with winter in mind.
E-bay bid to be checked tomorrow.
Decluttering is the hardest but "odds and ends" being tackled.0 -
Good morning
Thanks for your support Dannie, this gave me the boost I needed to get on with the tasks.
All ready at work but have a few minutes to spare.
Short term - 1, 2 and 3 done last night, tea tonight chicken drumsticks with spicy rice, so feeling rather pleased with myself as I also swept and mopped the kitchen floor. DS called in unexpectantly, but it was nice to see him.
Long term - still to do a menu and set a budget, hopefully I will be able to get this done by Saturday, not really sure how to set a realistic budget, but since we have been paying for all our shopping by Debit card I should be able to check with the bank and see how much I spent last month and reduce this by at least 15%. Informed DH that we were not doing any shopping until a menu was set for the rest of the month, he is fully on board and has set up a s/s shopping list for all the items we may need. Looks useful not sure how it will work in practise.
It will be a late night tonight as we call to the gym on Thursdays afterwork, hope I can keep on track as I also have all the gym kit to wash and hang up to dry, we got rid of the tumble drier at the beggining of the year, once we realised how much it was costing us.
Well have to go, hope you are all ok, catch up again later.

Glad you are doing fine Dia Pita. Sounds like you have been busy and planning ahead.
I am "ok" thanks; some days more productive than others. No grocery purchases other than what was last mentioned. Outstanding are some front garden jobs but have acquired loads of seeds for next year and recorded all their sowing instructions. Winter garments have been sorted. Didn't bother with the ebay bid as very close to normal price anyway. Lastly, the decluttering is bitty but at least feel I am getting on with things.0 -
Hi, last weeks list went okay. Managed to empty one fridge freezer drawer but the others are full and these contents will take a long time to use up. The front garden is taking shape; a few extra jobs still need doing. Also, some garden seeds remain but no problem if they self-seed.
Hope everybody are doing okay. (A new list being decided upon today).0 -
Hi everyone, I spotted this thread and thought I needed to join as I have an ever-growing 'to do' list and it never gets done... I'm sure this is partly as there is noone checking up on it! So by making it public, I'm hoping I will get more done. Apart from spending more time on the forums, anyway...
So, by next Sunday:- Actually finish this week's work 'to do' list (not on here as long and work-related- you'll have to trust me on this one!) :rotfl:
- Send an email I have been meaning to send
- Do at least 2 hour's French practice (split into little chunks)
- Run three times
- Get out of bed when my alarm goes off EVERY DAY, rather than lurking under the duvet in the hope that I don't really have to get up
- Sort out the Paperwork Pile of Doom in the dining room
- Post thank-you cards
- Buy and post Christmas present for Canadian friend so it arrives in good time
I think that's doable. Just need to make sure work tasks are realistic too. Over-long lists are probably counter productive as I get disheartened.Debt: [STRIKE]£8652[/STRIKE]£8550:eek:
Honeymoon and post-job savings: £50/£1100,
DFD target: December 2015
Saving for Xmas 15 #35: - £4/£365
NST December #28 - Food etc- £200.71/£260, :xmastree: & decs £0/40, Diesel £48/£110, Christmas presents and spending money £335.59/£380, Food Bank £5/5, SFDs 1/15.0 -
Hi Dannie, sorry I have not been on for a few days, been feeling under the weather, much better now. Unfortunately we went and ordered a Chinse on Friday and did not go to the gym, not the best of starts.
Glad to hear you are staying on track, looking forwrd to seeing your new list.
Hi Bex296 your list made me chuckle as I always stay in bed after the alarm has gone off, I insist my OH uses the bathroom first so I get an extra 5 mins in bed.
I seem to have got a handle on the washing up in the evening and mornings are so much easier. The ironing seems to go on forever, so upping the target to have all the ironing under control for Saturday 22/11/14. How often does everyone else iron?
We (me & OH) have sat down and completed a menu for the rest of November, and made as many meals as we could for this week, so feeling more in control.
Looking to start a menu for December but also need to set a budget, how much does everyone else set? At the moment we are probably spending £75 pw on 2 adults inc treats, we would like to cut this to £50, does this sound realistic?
Finally need to find all my christmas cards that have not been used from last year and make a list of who I am sending them to this year, before buying more.

Hi All
Hope you are all plodding on :rotfl:I was ill last week with a horrible sickness bugSo haven't been able to go the gym once :eek:So will go today and just be a bit easy on myself.
Catching up in the house to do this week did nothing last week !
1, gym 3/4
2, change beds no
3, hoover done
4,clean floors done
5, sort out cupboard under the sink (again)no
6,Ironing  no Someone asked how often we do this hated job- I do it when it starts to get out of control or DH has nothing to wear. I could probably leave mine for about a year :oAs I have so many clothes (most of which are never worn ) Or hour wise when I have about 2-3 hours worth :rotfl:to do.
Will do other things that need doing as I go along but ^ is my main aim this week.
Good luck to all

Crazy Clothes challenge £300/£48 and 5 months /0 without spending :T0 -
From Sunday until the end of Saturday -
Sunday - tidy up day and planning oncoming week (done as much as possible).
Monday until the end of Saturday are largely similar to last week -
Anything left unsorted/not put away Sunday deal with.
Try not to spend any money on groceries as plenty to use up still.
Front and side garden jobs still.
Collect garden seeds maybe.
Clean out bottom of wardrobe. Do one task regarding something stored there.
Decluttering again - just anything.0 -
:wave:Hi Bex296, good luck with your list.
Dia Pita - Thanks for your post. That's okay, it's not so easy when we are unwell to do the usual things; some people tend to post mainly at the end of their list week anyway. (Presently, no ironing routine. Also, currently using up existing food stuffs so try not to make many other food purchases).
mavvymoo - Yes, still "plodding" thanks.0
