Thanks for your message mothernerd. It sounds like a tough, time-consuming job managing both the houses and gardens. Also, I think I know what you mean about "motivation".
List from Sunday until the end of Saturday:-
1) Tidy up and plan the week.
2) Check makes/costs of gate repair items.
3) Fill council bin with garden "hard" prunings.
4) Ramadan month so check local Cash & Carry shops if possible for offers.
5) Clean and tidy the bedroom. Some too small (old) clothes to turn into rags or keep?
6) Decluttering (added to the list at the last minute) - makes me feel "weighed down" thinking about this task so just anything!0 -

It was a difficult week due, I think, to feeling unsettled and disturbed by next doors' noise. Consequently, went out more (mainly very early a.m.) but did manage to check two local Cash & Carry shops whereby special offer kitchen rolls were purchased. There were other offers (food and non-food) but didn't need anything more at the moment. Also, in the garden, made a start with pruning the privet bushes so "hard" prunings put in the council bin. The gate repair task was not completed.
The housework jobs were done although the too small clothes were just put away for now. Similarly, regarding decluttering, it was mainly the everyday type of tidying, recycling and rubbish sorting. However, did get rid of some old cards that cause mixed memories. Keeping photographs of these people seem best; at least for now?0 -
Sunday, 28. June - Saturday, 4. July inc.
A list was made for the above period but due to new neighbours disrupting my life it was changed from the usual ordinary miscellaneous tasks to just one title "nature tasks" (something much preferred).0 -
Sunday, 5. July - Saturday, 11. July inc.
This week was a continuation of last week; not really doing a thorough list, just doing everyday miscellaneous essentials.
Sunday, 12. July - Saturday, 18. July inc.
As per previous week but also jotting down what I find "good" and "bad" about everyday life.
Sorry for the time lapse. Present home circumstances have caused me to reflect upon how I have spent life and hence the nature of my list-making throughout.0 -

Would anyone like to join me on a weekly challenge to "get things done" ?
Since I joined MSE at the start of the month, it's been great, I've done a lot of reading about things, I've joined some challenges (and not been back, sorry), I've done a lot of thinking about things and made a lot of lists. But, I don't think that I have actually done anything!
On top of that, I've realised that I don't have any routines for doing anything and this is means that a) I spend money because I'm not organised and b) I spend money because I'm stressed and/or depressed.
Okay, so this week's challenge starts today and ends on Saturday night.
This week I will
do the housework
do the washing
do the ironing
declutter 7 things
take one bag to the charity shop
shred some paper everyday
do something every day to make some extra money
deal with one thing that's irritating me/draining my energy
do one thing that makes me feel good
OK, it's a short list, but I don't want to scare myself off my own challenge in the first week :rotfl: Right, I'm off to get something done
